Which Driving Game Has The Best Graphics On PlayStation 4?

Posted on January 11, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

Trick question: Which racing game on the PlayStation 4 has the best graphics? This is a question that might not have an actual quantifiable answer. Do you prefer the street racing neon infused style of the 2015 reboot of Need For Speed?  The faithful interior and exteriors lead by fan input of Project Cars? Or perhaps the jaw dropping visuals to be found in Sony’s 204 racer DriveClub?

YouTube Channel Racing Video Games poses this question to its’ subscribers with a purely in-game comparison video between Need for Speed 2015, DriveClub, The Crew and Project Cars – all running on the PlayStation 4 in 1080p.

Watching all of these games in action I couldn’t fault anyone for enjoying them, to be honest. Since this comparison is meant to strike up discussion it doesn’t rely on technical data like resolution, texture quality or frames per second. I found myself enthralled with reading the comments and watching players debate which franchise was your favorite.

Check out this 8 minute long video and decide for yourself.

Gamers, Start Your Engines! The Launch Trailer Is Here!

Posted on December 1, 2014 by Les Major

After a delay in November (we’ll call it a race day rain delay for fun) Ubisoft is on the eve of releasing The Crew! From what we’ve seen of the beta, it promises to be a game changer. Sure, you have the regular races, intense moments, and acquiring upgrades. But The Crew is so much more! The real star of this game is the open world it takes place in. Not just a city, or a state. No, it’s a smaller version of the United States of America!

It sounds pretty outlandish and impossible, but that really is what The Crew brings to the table. Oh, that and it’s multiplayer online enabled. Even though having a huge open world to explore between missions was more than enough, you’ll even encounter other players as you race around the game world. My time with the beta was focused on just seeing the sights and experiencing the great story mode. There’s even more to The Crew which launches off the starting line tomorrow, December 2nd. Read on for the launch trailer!Read More

It’s like ‘Fuel’ Across America In ‘The Crew’

Posted on September 5, 2014 by Les Major

Ubisoft is being incredibly generous to us with promotion of The Crew, a new racing title coming this November. First off, it should be noted that upon the end of the beta, myself included, many stormed the forum for the game demanding more time. It is that good of a game. Picture a serious career story that unlike open world games where you can get out of your car like Watch Dogs, you’re stuck in the drivers seat but treated to tons of plot development.

The hero is an interesting character, out for revenge and working for the FBI to do it. He also looks like a mix between Gordon Freeman and a sort of Walter White vibe. When you’re first dropped into the game, it’s actually quite a jarring experience. I was watching a cut scene and then realized I was in control of a pickup truck rocketing through open fields south of Detroit with a heavy police pursuit going on. Fortunately you get comfortable with this transition quickly and it does make for a fantastic intro. Everything is very smooth in terms of cut scenes to racing. You’re eased through the story and then see a pan out to your car which drops right into the action.Read More
