Just a few days ago Nintendo stopped some of the service for Swapnote, the visual message swapping service for the Nintendo 3DS. I must say that I’ve never SENT a swapnote though I have enjoyed receving the notes from Nintendo.
The issue stems from some inappropriate message being sent through the service, which Nintendo can’t prevent. Take a look at the full text of the letter posted on Nintendo.com. The letter was also posted as an alert directly sent to 3DS systems.

Nintendo released a small update to their Swapnote application this morning which can be activated either from the eShop or the application directly. Swapnote will send you right to the eShop update page.
The software update now available for the message-sharing application will allow users to attach photos and audio recordings when replying to notes, take photos or record audio from within the application, use a different pen color on each page and undo their last pen strokes.
