Naturally, your regular NIS game spoiler warning comes into play here. I’ll do my best to keep spoilers very early game focused so nothing major is given away, however there will be some plot points that will need to be explored since through gameplay is how you unlock some of the main features of the game.Read More
Sony’s Japan Studio released a new trailer today for Puppeteer featuring some awesome Halloween fun for the holidays. Puppeteer was announced back in August and features a boy who was carried off by the Moon Bear King into Castle Gristlestein where he’s transformed into a puppet. He escapes and ventures off to retrieve his disembodied head. As seen in the trailer here, the scissors seem to be his main defense and a way to interact with the environment.
The trailer focuses on Hallowee Ville which is just part of the Moon Realm the story takes place in. The Art Director at SCE Worldwide Studios promises many surprising and diverse locations in the game. This PS3 title’s release date is still to be announced.
The folks over at Capsule Computers interviewed some of the NIS America team at E3 2012 and have lots of wonderful info on tomorrow’s big release, Mugen Souls! Throughout the interview it brings to light that it really does sound like a true feel of the Disgaea series, just with new mechanics.Read More
Great news for the few people that are actually excited for Ninja Theory’s DmC. Earlier at New York Comic Con, Capcom announced that the game will have a demo on the PS3 and Xbox 360, sometime before its actual release date. There was no word on a PC demo, though.
In addition, Mundus has been confirmed to be returning in DmC. If you’ve ever played the first Devil May Cry, you’ll remember that Mundus was the Demon King and big bad, which Dante had to defeat. It’s probably safe to say that Mundus will also be the main villain in DmC, or at least a major one. Lastly, people who care about story might be excited to know that the game will take a more in-depth look at Dante and Vergil’s parents: Sparda and Eva.
DmC is set to release on January 15, 2013 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The PC version’s release date is still up in the air.
NIS games have always given gamers tons of characters to choose from, and even more recent games like ClaDun x2 and Legasista have included the ability to draw what you like for your character. Mugen Souls takes that creativity in another direction, allowing gamers to choose from tons of costume pieces with more for each job class. There’s even more to buy at the “Mugen Exchange” in game. After receiving small tidbits of info all this time, with pictures and a short trailer, Rockstar Games’s highly anticipated GTA V is finally going to come out with a huge coverage by Game Informer. Editor-In-Chief Andy McNamara tweeted a few moments ago that the December edition of the magazine will feature GTA V on the cover. Expect tons of new info on just about everything that the game’ll have to offer.

If you’ve ever played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, then you’ll probably remember playing on Favela, a map based on the Brazilian shanty towns. But, if you hop on MW2 right now, you’ll notice that it’s no longer in the map rotation for any of the game modes. That’s because some upset Muslims have banded together to demand Infinity Ward and Activision, the companies behind MW2, to remove the map from the rotation.
It’s a shame because Favela was one of my favorite maps on the game, but instigating heated arguments here isn’t in my interest. Would it kill the people who patched the game to at least patch One Man Army or Danger Close, though? I’m sure a lot more people (including myself) would play MW2 again, if we knew we wouldn’t be blown up every five seconds.

Sony’s been pushing PSN a lot, lately, as evident by the new Day 1 Digital program. Now, the company’s giving you even more incentive to make the switch to digital, with a new deal: spend $100 on PSN, and receive a $20 PSN voucher. If you happen to be interested in this offer, it’ll be important to know that you’ll receive an e-mail (for the account used to set up your PSN account) with the code. If e-mails aren’t your thing, then XMB messages will also be sent to PS3 registered accounts.
There’s a ton of stuff out on the PlayStation Store that deserves some love; why not buy some of it, and then be able to have some more? Check out the full details here.
If you don’t know what the PSN Day 1 Digital program is, then you’re in luck, because I’m about to explain what it is, in a rather quick and painless paragraph. Over the course of this October, PS3 gamers will be able to get their hands on digital copies of upcoming popular titles, such as Resident Evil 6, NBA2K13, Dishonored, and Assassin’s Creed III. One key benefit of digital downloads is being able to play games on the same day that they officially release. PlayStation Plus members will also receive 10% discounts on quite a few of the many titles that Sony has to offer.
That wasn’t too bad, was it? If you hate the lines at your local retailers, or just driving out to places, then why not take advantage of this program? A word of advice, though: you may want to keep some space open for the HDD. Check out the PlayStation Blog post describing the program in full, here.
Tekken returns to tag after a 12 year hiatus from consoles with Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (hereafter TTT2), the sequel to, that’s right, Tekken Tag Tournament. 12 years is a long time to wait for a proper follow-up to one of the more popular entries in the venerable Tekken series; does Namco Bandai drop the Tekken Ball or is TTT2 the new King of the Iron Fist?
TTT2 is the eighth main installment in the Tekken series and it is a non-canon entry, like the original Tekken Tag Tournament. TTT2 embraces its dream match premise, and in turn the roster has ballooned to a whopping 59 characters, with six of those available at a later date as free downloadable content. And if you’re wondering, Gon from Tekken 3 is not one of those 59 fighters; you’ll have to make do with Alex if you’re all about fighting dinosaurs.Read More
One of 2011’s best (and goofiest) games, Saints Row: The Third, is receiving a compilation disc aptly named, Saints Row: The Third – The Full Package. Fans of the game from the states can expect it to hit stores on November 6, while international fans will see it on November 9. As the title implies, all of the DLC that’s ever been released for Saints Row: The Third will be on the disc (no vouchers, if you were worried about that).
Namco Bandai Games released some new gameplay footage of their next game in the “Tales of” series at the Tokyo Game Show on Thursday. Tales of Xillia 2 is the direct sequel to Tales of Xillia and the eighteenth game in the series.
Tales of Xillia 2 is set in a world named Elenpios, which currently remains in harmony with Liese Maxia. However, due to the two world’s differences in culture and terms of opinion, they also remain in opposition. Elenpios is a highly technological world where the residents live in prosperity.Read More

That’s right, the popular RPG franchise that involves both Disney and Final Fantasy characters, Kingdom Hearts, is receiving a new game. If you were expecting Kingdom Hearts III, though, you’ll be sorely disappointed. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX was announced today at TGS, and it’ll be exclusive to the PlayStation 3.
Included in the game will be: Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, and Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories. 358/2 Days was exclusive on the Nintendo DS, so those of you without DSes or 3DSes are in luck. The Final Mix version of Kingdom Hearts was also never released outside of Japan. It includes a few extra cutscenes, weapons, and bosses.
During Sony’s pre-TGS conference today, Sony unveiled a brand new model of the Playstation 3 console. The console is said to 25% thinner and 20% lighter than it’s predecessor and has been built from the ground up.
Along with it’s redesign, there will be two different models of the system. A 250GB model that will retail for around $270, a steal in my mind. Not to mention, the American 250GB model will contain the full game of Uncharted 3, a $30 digital downloads voucher and a voucher to download Dust 514. Sony also mentioned a 500GB model, unfortunately, there was no price for the 500GB model.
The newer slim model will consist on two colors at launch. The black console will be due out in America on September 25th and October 4th in Japan, where as the white model will launch on October 30th in America and November 22nd in Japan.
There will also be an Assassins Creed III bundle on sale on October 30th as well, but unfortunately, there is no price tag for that either. See below for another picture of the Uncharted 3 bundle!
