April 25th Nintendo Download

Only five releases this week but they span all four Nintendo platforms. A new Rayman app for the Nintnedo Wii U, Crazy Construction for the Nintendo 3DS eShop, Mega Man 4 hits the 3DS Virtual Console service and Circle’s Color Commando is now available on DSiWare.

Finally SENGOKU arrives on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console list, though the sequel has been been available for a while.

April 11th Nintendo Download

Quite a few things released today. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s highly anticipated Injustice: Gods Among Us hits the Wii U eShop today plus the Wii U gets another $0.30 Virtual Console title in Kirby’s Adventure.

Plus three new titles are available in the 3DS eShop including Nintndo’s sequel Dillon’s Rolling Western: The Last Ranger, Soccer Up 3D from Enjoy Up Games and Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers is released. Finally rounding up the lot is Clash of Elementals, a 3D fighter from Teyon is the latest release for Nintendo’s DSiWare service.

April 4th Nintendo Download

Quite a few things released today, with a heavy dose on new content for the 3DS. Two Tribes’ Toki Tori 2 hits the Wii U eShop today plus the Konami’s Castlevania from 1987 has been released on the 3DS Virtual Console. Speaking of Virtual Console the Wii gets another SNK title from D4 Enterprise in NAM-1975.

Plus check out Real Heroes: Firefighter 3D, Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove 3D and escapeVektor gets a sale price. Plus new DLC for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity is now available.

More Details for Console Versions of Resident Evil Revelations

We’ve got a ton of new information about the upcoming release of Resident Evil Revelations for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii U to share with you.

Resident Evil newcomer Rachel, who made her debut in the 3DS release of Resident Evil Revelations, will be joining Hunk as a brand new playable character in Raid Mode. Check out some screenshots showing Rachel and Hunk in action below and then a whole bunch more on the Darkain Arts Gamers’ Tumblr gallery. Resident Evil Revelations features two brand new enemies, including the Wall Blister and a surprise new creature that appears in Raid Mode once players have reached a certain level.Read More

March 14th Nintendo Download

Right off the bat we’re just a few days away from the release of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, which will be available day and date in both retail stores and through the eShop. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Countdown Begins

The countdown has begun. Alright, so we’ve been counting down to the game’s release for many months but with just seven days left until it’s unleashed on North American Wii U and 3DS owners, the excitement is really ramping up.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be released for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U next Tuesday, and in anticipation of the release Capcom has sent over a shiny new promotional trailer for the game.Read More

Assassin’s Creed IV Trailer Revealed

Ubisoft revealed the first official trailer for their upcoming game Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag early this morning. The trailer is very much a teaser that features a pirate captain describing the main character of the game.

The year is 1715. Pirates rule the Caribbean and have established their own lawless Republic. Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag introduces Edward Kenway, a brash rebel Pirate Assassin. His fight for glory has earned him the respect of legends like Blackbeard, but also drawn him into the ancient war between Assassins and Templars, a war that may destroy everything the pirates have built. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate DLC Coming in April

Capcom today confirmed that following the release of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on the Nintendo Wii U on March 19, a software update will be released a month later in April. The announcement comes in response to community feedback.

The software update will add online cross-region functionality, allowing North American and European gamers to play together online in up to four-player battles. Monster Hunters will also be able to play the game using just the Wii U GamePad without the need for a TV screen as the software update makes the title compatible with off-TV play. Capcom will be continuing to support Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for several months after release with additional free of charge downloadable quests. The first quest will be available at launch.Read More

Almost an overlooked release day as Nintendo shed a lot of light, and showed a lot of footage, on new games and updated information this morning via Nintendo Direct. But today is Thursday which means new gaming goodies from the Big N. Today Nintendo has released a new ap for Wii U, a demo and a few retail downloads for the 3DS, a new DSiWare title and another virtual console arcade fighter from SNK. Check them all out below.

Nintendo Direct Details – Year of Luigi

Nintendo detailed a huge list of upcoming games this morning at another Nintendo Direct presentation, with a focus on Luigi and several games featuring everyone’s favourite brother.

Nintendo has named 2013 the “Year of Luigi,” thanks to the numerous appearances that Mario’s timid, green-clad twin brother will be making in games this year. Nintendo provided details about games on the way that feature Luigi, as well as information about more than two dozen upcoming games, including content for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS across packaged and digital formats.

“Luigi is just the green tip of the iceberg of all the great news we have to share with Nintendo fans this year and beyond,” said Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America’s president and COO. “We’re showing how Nintendo 3DS and Wii U continue to be a source of fun, entertainment and great surprises.”Read More

February 7th Nintendo Download

The Wii U gets a new game this week with the release of Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 while the Nintendo 3DS sees Mega Man II arrive on the Virtual Console. The latter also sees a slew of full game downloads with four full games, including the new Brain Training game from Nintendo. Also for those RPG fans out there (ahem Les) you can download a demo of Atlus’ new release Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan! Finally Circle’s latest game Ah! Heaven also arrives on DSiWare this week.

January 31st Nintendo Download

Lots of goodness this week with all four Nintendo pillars getting something. The Cave, which was released last week, will be let loose as a demo this week. Three 3DS games are released as full game downloads an there are virtual console releases for both the Wii and 3DS. And 99Moves, which we previewed earlier in the week, is also now available on DSiWare.

Nintendo Forecasting a Year-End Loss

Nintendo has sold just over three million Wii U systems worldwide between the system’s launch in November and the end of December. 1.3 million of those systems sold were sold in North America.

The sales, while great, are off from initial forcasted expectations where the company had looked to sell 5.5 million consoles worldwide before the end of March. That forcast has been shifted to four million systems.

Nintendo is blaming softer demand for older systems, including the original Wii.Read More
