Posted on July 24, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Vatra Games, developers behind the mediocre Silent Hill Downpour are in trouble according to reports around the industry. Parent company Kuju Entertainment issued a statement regarding Vatra Games, simply saying that they are reviewing all aspects of their games business including the Silent Hill studio.

“[We have] been conducting a strategic review of all aspects of the business  and the activities of Vatra are currently under review.”

Despite all of the denial going around, officially, members of fellow Czech based developer, 2K Czech, tweeted ” Vatra Games RIP” despite no reports of mass layoff, closure or sale just yet. If more develops we will be sure to bring it to you.

Hideo Kojima Sorry To Fans About MGS5 Hoax

Posted on July 17, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Fans and blogs alike where alight with news that the logo for Hideo Kojima’s next project Metal Gear Solid 5 had been shown at the San Diego Comic Con. Konami was quick to squash these rumors, and considering that fact that the only source of the rumor was a blurred, camera-phone-esque, image of the supposed logo it’s just as well that it is fake.

As he usually does, Kojima-San addressed his fans , more specifically those who may have fallen for the fake logo, saying:

“That title logo is completely fake. Apologies to those who were looking forward to this.”

Beyond confirmation of the existence of MGS5 and several demos of the next-generation Fox Engine little is known of the project. If MGS4’s development cycle is anything like 5, then we will probably see some form of reveal next year prior to the PlayStation 4/Orbis’ launch.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 Offers Players Full Control of The Field

Posted on April 25, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Konami announced the next entry in the Pro Evolution Soccer series for release this fall. The2013 edition of PES promises to include changes influenced by the series’ earlier games. In addition for the first time in the franchise’s history players will be able to have full control over their shorts.

PES 2013 is set to offer player’s unprecedented freedom using what Konami has coined Full Control.  The Full Control system allows you to control the ball upon first contact among other changes. All of these additions sound like great enhancements to an already solid franchise. Check out the full list of enhancements & features that encompass the Full Control system. Read More
