Action platformer Celeste is ready to climb onto the Nintendo eShop, as well as making its way onto the Xbox One, PS4, and Steam, later this month. The game is another beautiful retro inspired pixel game and looks visually amazing from the videos I’ve seen. Not only that but the music is also inspired and the game has more than two hours of original music.
In the game you’ll have to help Madeline survive her inner demons on her journey to the top of Celeste Mountain. The game looks super-tight and tricky with pinpoint accuricy required with seemingly little room for error. The game is a hand-crafted platformer from the creators of multiplayer classic TowerFall Matt Makes Games Inc.
Celeste is a narrative-driven, single-player adventure, with a charming cast of characters and a touching story of self-discovery. The game features a massive mountain teeming with 600+ screens of hardcore platforming challenges and devious secrets, brutal B-side chapters to unlock, and looks to be built for only the bravest mountaineers.
The controls are said to be simple and accessible. You can jump, air-dash, and climb. There are layers of expressive depth to master, where every death is a lesson. Lightning-fast respawns keep you climbing as you uncover the mysteries of the mountain and brave its many perils.
Celeste will be released in the Nintendo eShop on January 25th and will retail for $25.51 CAD.

Dragon Quest Builders – Demo Version – A free demo for the Dragon Quest Builders game is available today in Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch. Gather, craft, and build the kingdom of your dreams to restore the ruined world of Alefgard! As the legendary Builder, you’ll construct rooms, towns and defenses while fighting monsters. The full version of Dragon Quest Builders launches for Nintendo Switch on Feb. 9.
Pokkén Tournament DX Battle Pack – The Battle Pack is now available for purchase in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch, and includes two Waves of Battle Pokémon and Support Pokémon Sets. Wave 1 of the Battle Pack contains Battle Pokémon Aegislash and a new Support Pokémon Set featuring Mega Rayquaza and Mimikyu. Aegislash can change between two formes, and players can wield them both. Wave 2 includes the new Battle Pokémon Blastoise and a new Support Pokémon Set featuring Mew and Celebi. Wave 1 will be available Jan. 31, and Wave 2 is scheduled for March 23. Both Waves of DLC are only available with purchase of the Battle Pack; they are not sold individually. Content will be available as it is released.
InnerSpace – InnerSpace is an exploration flying game set in the Inverse, a world of inside-out planets with no horizons. Soar through ancient skies and abandoned oceans to discover the lost history of this fading realm, where gods still wander. Your greatest journey is within. InnerSpace launches on Jan. 16.
Furi – Fight your way free in this ultra-responsive, fast-paced sword fighting and dual-stick shooting game. Feel the tension and adrenaline of one-on-one duels against deadly adversaries. You will need absolute focus and skill to defeat each of the guardians.

One of the last scheduled games for the Nintendo Wii U is due to land in the eShop on Thursday with the release of Jolt Family Robot Racer. The game is a fast paced, four player racing party game.
The game at its core is a competitive platformer that’s all about maintaining momentum with skillful navigation. The players compete to be the last robot standing. Using a charged burst of speed called the JOLT, and an array of different objects in the environment; your goal is to outperform or outright sabotage the other racers. Eliminated players are down but not out through the use of the VOID, a random Sabotage Power-Up that allows players to initiate revenge and change the outcome of the race.
The JOLT is a player’s primary utility to winning the race. It has 3 stages of charge, each one taking longer to store but each allowing you to shoot considerably further. If the player can time its use correctly; they can use it just before a curve to shoot up a wall or JOLT through an obstacle. Many short cuts in the levels are JOLT dependent.
Once eliminated, a player has the opportunity to execute the VOID. After punching in the correct sequence, the VOID player is gifted a random Power-Up to inflict mass-disruption to the existing racers.
The game features multiple Game Modes; Racer is the standard and most game modes are based off this, such as Light Mode (where the level is dark and the leading player has a light attached to them).
The game is developed and released by Cooply Solutions Ltd. It will retail for $6.45 CAD in the Nintendo eShop.
