Darksiders II 20% off During Pre-release Sale

THQ’s DarkSiders II is set to slay us all when it releases on August 14th, just a week and a half away. If you’re planning to play the game on PC and want to save a few pennies, or dollars for that matter, Digital Distribution outlet Get Games has the action RPG on sale for 20% off until Monday.

A few other recent titles are also 20%+ off including Civ V and Batman Arkham City. Here’s a full list:

THQ Releases Free Darksiders II Avatar Shirt

Want some new threads for your Xbox Live avatar but don’t want to shell out 80 points for a new shirt? Save yourself some Microsoft Points (and by extension real world money) with Ubisoft’s free Darksiders II avatar T-Shirt.

The free T-shirt can be obtained by visiting the Darksiders II facebook page and following the link to the Avatar giveaway page. The free avatar T-Shirt actually looks pretty neat. Usually they are simply the game’s logo on a white or black background but THQ’s offering however features some pretty interesting art of Death, the games protagonist.

Darksiders II will be released later this summer for the Xbox 360 and Playstation3. A Wii-U version is expected to launch alongside Nintendo’s new console sometime this fall.

Darksiders II Delayed Until August

It won’t be until August now when we see Vigil Game’s highly anticipated sequel, Darksiders II. The game will be facing a two month delay from its initial release date at the end of June, so we will be seeing the title hit shelves sometime in August. Executive vice president of THQ, Danny Bilson is stressing that the delay is only to add polish to the title.

After a rather shaky year in 2011 many would think that this delay means bad news, but is actually quite the opposite. Ever since Saints Row 3 has officially shipped over four million copies, the company has been able to adjust their losses for the Q4 sales expectations, they are able to squeeze in the extra development time for what is being said to be a much larger game than its predecessor.
