European PS Vita owners can now enter the world inside the television by purchasing a digital copy of Persona 4: Golden. The downloadable version will be released by NIS Europe, the publishers of the popular Disgaea series, rather than original developers Atlus.
If you haven’t checked out the Vita version of Persona 4 you’re missing out. We gave the game a perfect 10.0, and will be publishing an editorial later this month around it. If you’re not afraid then why not take on your shadow-self in an alternate world?
Check out the full press release from NIS after the jump.

If you enjoy Etrian Odyssey, you probably know what classes you’ll be picking already. These are moreso it seems for newcomers to the series, showing what the game has in store. For those who don’t know, Etrian Odyssey is an excellent dungeon crawl designed in the genre of classics like Eye of the Beholder. However with the touch screen on the DS, or rather 3DS this time, you can map out your adventure as you continue. I’m definitely excited for the games February 26th release. Read on to learn about some of the games classes.Read More

Golden.
That’s perhaps the easiest and most accurate way to describe Atlus’ remake of one of the best RPGs on the PS2. Persona 4: Golden isn’t your average HD remake, though – not only does it have enough additional story-based content packed into it to make the game feel brand new, but updated visuals, new music, online connectivity and special features like the ability to watch recorded live concerts featuring in game music make this one of the best HD remakes on the market – and it’s only available on the Playstation Vita.Read More

Etrian Odyssey has always been a game series I’ve enjoyed. I miss the olden days of dungeon crawls like this and Etrian brings back even more of that magic letting me draw my own maps on my DS touch screen and label them too with items, treasure, monsters, etc.
The series is back again with the fourth installment this time on the 3DS! Looking bigger and better than ever. As the latest group of adventurers, which means if it’s anything like the last games the group you create, you’ll be arriving at Tharsis and setting out to reach the tree Yggdrasil to discover it’s secrets. It’s an Atlus import, it’s an RPG, you know this is going to rock! The game is set for release on February 26th, 2013.

PS Vita and RPG fans, rejoice! Your JRPG specialists at Atlus have you covered for an RPG experience set in the Persona universe touting over 100 hours of gameplay! That’s an impressive feat. I am trying to think of the last time that I spent 100+ hours on a game (save for messing around in the GTA games after I’d completed the storyline missions). In any event, they sent us an awesome trailer for Persona 4 Golden and I can’t wait to share it with you. So here goes!

Wait a second an RPG is transcending it’s genre and making the leap to…a fighting game? I couldn’t believe the precedent being created when Persona 4 Arena was announced. I had an even harder time believing that such a drastic leap away from the norm could turn out so well. Yes dear readers P4 Arena is not only a competent fighter, it is also a great one. Can you believe it? This sets the stage so that other fighters could possibly become RPGs or something completely different. Man we live in one exciting time. Well here we go let’s talk about how one of the best JRPGs released in the last decade made the leap to a tournament level fighting game.Read More

Atlus has released several new screenshots for the upcoming PS Vita port, Persona 4: Golden. These new screenshots focus on the RPG elements of the game: Showing the Rank Up screen and several pieces of dialogue.
For the uninitiated the Persona is best described as a hybrid RPG and dating simulator. Fusing real time combat and a heavy emphasis on forming and maintained relationships Persona 4: Golden could easily be consider two different games in one. As the main character you are responsible with navigating both the TV World, where battling monstrous creatures is the norm, and the real world where you are nothing more than an average highschooler.
Check out the screens below in our gallery. Persona 4: Golden will be released on the PS Vita on November 20th 2012 for $39.99 in North America.

Atlus’s Persona 4 has had a manga, anime, fighting game, Vita port, and now, it can add a card game to the list. Persona 4: The Card Battle is an aptly named mobile game for the Android, iOS, and other such devices. It’ll feature over 400 cards based on the original PS2 RPG. Unfortunately, the game has no plans to be released anywhere besides Japan, but it (almost) never hurts to hope.
If you can read Japanese, feel free to check out the press release here. Persona 4: The Card Battle will be released sometime near the end of September, and pre-registration for it has begun today.

Atlus’s Persona 4: Arena has the attention of not only series fans, Otaku (like yours truly ^_~), but also fighting fans due to the pedigree behind the game. Combine one of the pest roleplaying publishers like Atlus with one of the premiere fighting developers in Arc System Works and you’ve got a recipee for success.
The latest promotional video for Persona 4: Arena gives us a glimpse at one of the game’s recording sessions. The video features Yuri Lowenthal, voice of Yosuke Hanamura as he spends sometime behind the mic. Even the pros miss their cues and look kind of silly flubbing their lines.
Persona 4: Arena will be available in North America on the Xbox 360 and PS3 on August 7th!

Atlus has released multiple sets of screenshots for both the challenge mode and story mode for next month’s Persona 4: Arena. If you’d like to see what the Persona 4: Arena will throw in front of you before the game ships, this gallery is for you.
Challenge mode seems to throw the player into pre-determined scenarios against computer controlled opponents. During these matches certain moves will have to be performed in order to progress.
The story mode screenshots are a mixture of anime cut-scene screen grabs and dialogue sections that will be familar to anyone who has played Persona 3 or Persona 4. Persona 4: Arena will be available in North America on August 7th and has already launched in Japan.

Teddie, one of the most iconic Persona 4 characters finally gets his time to shine in this latest Persona 4 moves tutorial, released by Atlus.
For those not in the know Teddy is a playable character from Persona 4 who was modeled after the appearance of a stuffed bear. Serving as a sort of comic relief character during that game Teddie is often seen flirting and generally trying to boost moral within the group.
In the brief one minute video we get to see some of Teddie’s moves including a spiraling mid air attack, a 2D defensive move and a few of his specials that include fireworks and missiles!
Check out all the madness in the player below.Read More
