Momodora Is A Metroidvania Worth Exploring

Posted on August 21, 2016 by Les Major

Momodora First Boss
It’s been a little while since Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight was released on Steam, but it’s definitely a title Metroidvania fans should take a look at. The game is even currently on sale at just $6.99 USD! I’ve been quite the fan of titles like this over the years. The Castlevania DS games really drew me into the genre and I’ve been playing them ever since. This entry in the Momodora series really scratches that itch. There’s goodies to find, bosses to fight, and items to purchase. That and really, what other game do you play as a skilled

Batman: a Telltale series episode 1- Realm of Shadows review

Posted on August 21, 2016 by Meghan Kass

Telltale is at it again with their newest episodic adaptation of Batman. Batman: The Telltale series episode 1- Realm of Shadows puts the decisions, detective work and adventures of the caped crusader and puts it in the hands of the player using their signature mix of point and click gameplay and quick time events. Being a long term fan of the development team and publisher, could I be impressed yet again by their newest series, or would this be a miss in a long line of home runs? Anyone who is familiar with a Telltale series, such as: Walking Dead,

Broken Bootlegs- Mario 4: A Space Odyssey

Posted on August 19, 2016 by Erika

Mario 4 header
Broken Bootlegs is a series covering unlicensed games (also known as bootleg games) for mainly 8-bit and 16-bit consoles. This week’s edition covers one of the more difficult Russian-made Mario games for the Mega Drive- Mario 4: A Space Odyssey (Космическая Одиссея). After having previously covered a Super Mario World deport for the Famicom, I found somewhat interesting gem that was made for Russian Mega Drive systems. Космическая Одиссея (Kosmicheskaya Odisseya), translated to Mario 4: A Space Odyssey, feels like more of a game that would have been released by one of those awful licensed 8-bit computer system games. Broken Overwatch Auto-Aim On Consoles To Be Fixed In Next Patch

Posted on August 19, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

Console players of Overwatch have brought up an issue regarding the game’s auto-aim feature on consoles. According to several forum posts submitted by players the game’s aim system will actually move away from enemies such as Genji during the middle of a jump. Here is how the original poster described the issue: “‘I’m moving the control stick horizontally the whole time. All Vertical movement is due to Blizzard’s built in Aim Assist. Every time Genji jumps, the Aim Assist moves away from him. To hit Genji, you have to fight against the Aim Assist.  Any other character spamming the jump
