While the horror genre and arcade style games have shown us some virtual reality gems, what are other some other types of games that are worth the time and money that the Vive or, any VR system require? One of the more

Are Skylanders cards on the way out?

Posted on December 5, 2016 by Jason Nason

Less than a year after their release, could Activision be dropping Skylanders Battlecast? Based on the Skylanders videogame series, Skylanders Battlecast launched in May of this year. The game is a free-to-play mobile card game where players build their ultimate deck of cards, master strategic card combinations and use them in never before seen battles. In addition to the digital cards in the game, physical card packs are also available for purchase in retail stores. But since the first release of the cards, and a few minor updates to the app, there have been no further releases of cards or

WipeOut Omega Collection Is A Love Letter To The Series’ Past

Posted on December 5, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

Sony’s futuristic racing series WipeOut is making the jump to the PlayStation 4 despite the demise of founding studio Psygnosis over five years ago. WipeOut The Omega Collection isn’t a brand new entry in the series but sort of a “best of” from the decade or so. Content from the PlayStation Vita launch title WipeOut 2048, ships & tracks from the PS3 collection WipeOut HD and finally stuff from WipeOut Fury will be included in the Omega Collection. In total this means that players will have access to 26 unique tracks (with some supporting mirrored versions), 46 unique ships and

Brand New Zelda Amiibo Will Drop Fish From The Sky In Breath of the Wild

Posted on December 3, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

Nintendo’s brand new The Legend of Zelda 30th anniversary amiibos will allow Link to procure items from the sky in next year’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. If you ever thought that what The Legend of Zelda series needed was a delivery of fish from the sky, boy are you in luck. This is the sort of random and WTF kind of fun nonsense that I wish Nintendo indulged in just a little bit more. Today saw the launch of four brand new amiibo on store shelves – 8 Bit Link, Ocarina of Time Link and Toon

New Death Stranding Trailer Paints a Grim Picture

Posted on December 3, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

Hideo Kojima surprised the entire internet with a 5 minute trailer for his yet-undated third person action titled Death Stranding last night. In usual Kojima style the trailer contains absolutely no plot or character information, yet this cinematic trailer contains enough interesting moments that we will speculating for months until the release of the next cryptic morsel. In the opening of the trailer we see a European city under-siege from an army of zombie skeleton soldiers and planes as the camera establishes it self on an unnamed character presumably played by project collaborator Guillermo Del Toro. We see a pair
