Shantae: Half-Genie Hero launches Dec 20th for PlayStation, Dec 27th for Wii U

XSEED Games announced on Friday that the retail edition of the crowd-funded action game developed by WayForward, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, is nearly ready for release. The game will launch for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita on December 20th while the game will hit the Wii U one week later on December 27th. Miitomo updated to version 2.1

On Thursday morning Nintendo rolled out a minor update to Miitomo, with the update going live at 6:00 AM Eastern time. The update brings the application to version 2.1 and introduces a few new features to the game. With version 2.1 you can now share what your Sidekick Mii characters think. Circle Entertaiment confirmed today via social media that upcoming title Mercenaries Saga 3 will be released in North America in the Nintendo eShop next week. Developed by Rideon and released in Japan earlier this year, Circle will release the game in the Nintendo 3DS eShop sometime on December 15th. Blizzard launches book-publishing label

Blizzard Entertainment today announced the creation of a book-publishing label, Blizzard Publishing, dedicated to developing and releasing new Blizzard publications and reissuing out-of-print titles in the company’s Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo settings. These releases will either come directly and through ongoing global partnerships. Blizzard has plans to make several of their publishing arm’s upcoming releases available in multiple formats, including print, audiobook, and e-book. The first books published under the Blizzard Publishing label include two sets of previously released novels and manga. More Pokémon coming soon to Pokémon GO

There are about to be more catchable Pokémon in Niantic and Nintendo’s mobile game Pokémon GO soon. The official Pokémon Twitter channel sent out a brief tweet today announcing that “More Pokémon are coming to Pokémon GO!” The tweet went on to tease the date of December 12th for more information. Apollo Justice – Ace Attorney now available on Android and iOS

Capcom announced today that they have released its highly popular courtroom drama, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney for Android devices. The game was released for iOS this past Friday. The original game was released for the Nintendo 3DS in North America in 2008. For the smartphone and tablet version of the game, Capcom has optimized the UI and graphics to take advantage of the superior resolutions and aspect ratios available with these current devices.
