Virtual Reality motion controllers can add to the immersion of an interactive experience but setting up various base-stations and sensors can be a daunting task for the less hardcore among us. ARK Devs Offering Future Content For Steam Award Votes

With both the Steam Winter Sale and Steam Awards underway a number of 2016’s biggest titles are gaining a lot of attention. It isn’t uncommon for developers & community managers to rally their communities to garner votes but in the case of ARK: Survival Evolved, Studio Wildcard is offering future content to ensure that ARK complies with its nomination in the “Best Use of Farm Animals” category. In a post on the game’s Steam Community Discussion forum ARK representatives urge their community to vote for the game and if  ARK wins then sheep will be added in a future content update.

Star Citizen Switches To Amazon Lumberyard Engine

Star Citizen the ambitious crowd sourced multi-genre spaceship simulator under development at Cloud Imperium Games has made the switch from Crytek’s CryEngine to the Amazon.com developed Lumberyard  engine. Lumberyard is a freely distributed fork of CryEngine that provides developers with the graphical capabilities and networking code to produce everything from indie to AAA titles. In addition to the graphical prowess of that CryEngine is known for, Lumberyard also allows devs to use Twitch.TV and Amazon Web Services (AWS) within the game engine itself. Atlus teases Project Re Fantasy

Atlus teased a little bit about an upcoming RPG on Friday. The stuido, the developers behind the Shin Megami Tensei and Persona series, and Katsura Hashino – director of ATLUS titles including Persona 5, Catherine, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, and others – are launching a new internal studio called Studio Zero. Lightwood teases new puzzle game

Lightwood Games teased a new game title in the form of an interactive holicay card today. The game, called “Pic-a-Pix Color”, with the spelling appropriately corrected to “Pic-a-Pix Colour” in Europe, is a game similar to Picross games. The colour element sets this game apart from other Picross games, and adds additional rules so that puzzles require a slightly different mindset to solve. The puzzles are designed by Conceptis Ltd, the leading supplier of logic puzzles to print and digital media around the world and the developers have access to a massive library of beautiful pixel art puzzles.

Nintendo to preview Switch right after January Presentation

Nintendo plans to reveal additional details about the upcoming Nintendo Switch during the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017 on January 12th, 2017, and then shortly thereafter they’re taking the Switch on tour. First Footage of Ace Combat 7 Running On PSVR

Seven minutes of footage from ACE Combat 7’s PlayStation VR mode was filmed was released via YouTube this weekend. The footage isn’t exactly the most enthralling considering it is the TV screen output of a VR experience filmed off a screen at Bandai’s Thank You Celebration in Korea but it does give us a few hints at how the PSVR mode will work.  Ace Combat 7 was announced back at PSX 2015 and is a direct sequel to 2007’s Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation.
