Walking Dead: A New Frontier: Episode 1- Ties That Bond (Part one and two)

Posted on January 17, 2017 by Meghan Kass

It is not a secret that I have a great fondness for Telltale and their games. As much as I love their games, I feel none compare to what they have done with The Walking Dead. While others may differ in opinion, I personally feel not only has Telltale done an impressive job with the series, I feel they may have even surpassed the TV show at this point. I have followed Clementine and her many companions and stories since season one of the Telltale series and not only have they made one of the most charming children characters to

Avernum Is An Incredible Retro Experience

Posted on January 15, 2017 by Les Major

Avernum 2 Cover
Somehow, as a long time PC gamer, I missed the Exile series. The original top down RPG Exile: Escape From The Pit was released in 1995! Like some of my friends, I’d just assumed that Avernum was a newer series that played off the old retro style of the 90s. In fact, it’s actual a product of that decade, revamped. The original Exile was remade into Avernum in 2000, and then again in 2012. I’m sure there are ways to get the classic version to run just fine, or perhaps it does already, but it’s great to see these titles

SnipperClips Would Have Been Perfect To Kick Off The Switch Reveal

Posted on January 14, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

SnipperClips is a physics puzzler designed for multiplayer co-operation for the Nintendo Switch. Despite that rather generic sounding description, it seems to be a stylish and charming co-op puzzler with a unique premise – the ability to modify the shape of your co-op partner to solve puzzles. Despite the game not having any elements that are unique to the Nintendo Switch it looks like the perfect game to play with close friends are family and the Switch’s portability lends itself to games like SnipperClips. During the 5 hour Tree-house live-stream two Nintendo employees attempt to take on a handful of stages from SnipperClips.

Nintendo Switch is here to fight with ARMS

Posted on January 14, 2017 by Jason Nason

I’ll admit it. I did have a bit of a huh moment when the trailer started for this game. Nintendo tends to do silly little skits when they introduce a new game or concept, but this one was a bit bizare at first. But once it started to show gameplay it made a bit more sense. ARMS is just as strange at first as I remember Splatoon looking when it was revealed. The game looks weird at first, but then starts to look like it could be a lot of fun.

Super Mario emarks on an Odyssey this Christmas

Posted on January 14, 2017 by Jason Nason

Nintendo unveilled a new 3D Mario title at their Switch presentation on Thursday night. While the return to the classic 2D side scrolling games (New Super Mario Bros.) and the 2.5D games (Super Mario 3D World) were great, it’s been two generations since we’ve had a full 3D game. That’s about to change. While details are scarce at the moment, and the game not landing in our laps until nearly the end of the year, Mario will embark on a new journey through unknown worlds, running and jumping through huge 3D worlds in the first sandbox-style Mario game since Super

David Young, Nintendo of America’s assistant manager of public relations, confirmed this information during an interview with GamesBeat on Friday at the Switch event in New York City. “I can answer that we’re not going to be using Miiverse for Nintendo Switch,” Young stated in the interview.
