Monster Hunter Stories | Review

Posted on October 5, 2017 by Meghan Kass

“When a monster strikes, the fearful hide, but the brave? They ride” So goes what should be the motto of all Hunters, young and old. Long time fans of the beloved Capcom franchise, Monster Hunter, might have been fearful at the idea  of the spin-off “Monster Hunter Stories” when first discovered it would be a fairly large departure from the typical Monster Hunter game they have all come to know and love, but what of those who were brave and gave this Monster a ride? Was “Monster Hunter Stories” a pleasant addition? Or was this a bad egg? A closer

Posted on September 29, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

Nexon has announced that it will be shutter (“sunsetting”) the F2P first-person shooter Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex First Assault in four regions in early December. Players who purchased in-game currency will receive a refund of 100% if it was purchased before Feb of 2017, all other in-game purchases will be refunded at a rate of 50% but this does not apply to the initial purchase of the game client if bought through one of the several Early Access bundles sold before the F2p launch.  I enjoyed the 4 or so hours I spent with the early access version of Ghost In The Shell back in 2015.

One To Watch: Gear.Club Unlimited On Nintendo Switch

Posted on September 27, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

Previously mobile only racing title Gear.Club will be hitting the breaks on mobile exclusivity with the release of Gear.Club Unlimited on the Nintendo Switch this December. This past week the developers at Eden Games revealed the full lineup of 30 real-world cars that will be featured in this updated port.  Featuring cars from famous manufacturers like BMW, Ford, Mercedes, and Nissan – Gear.Club is unique in terms of its realism on Nintendo’s latest console. It might not feature the 100s of makes & models like the Sony’s Gran Turismo franchise but when the closest competition on the Switch involves go karts firing turtle shells, 30 different real-world vehicles is plenty.   I’ve been playing

Version Reviewed: PlayStation 4 Three years after the release of the original Destiny Bungie sends us into a far future version of our own solar system with the release of Destiny 2 on Xbox One and PS4. While the development of the original Destiny has become somewhat of a cautionary tale about the perils of AAA development – Bungie, Activision and new partner Vicarious Visions have had quite a bit of extra time to polish and improve the loot focused FPS formula that made the first Destiny should a standout title. Can Destiny 2 live up to the expectations & hype for this franchise’s sophomore effort?   Stepping foot into the boots of a Guardian will be familiar to anyone who played Destiny or any of its expansions. Mecha Action Title Project Nimbus Coming To PlayStation 4 In 2018

Posted on September 20, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

If you like high octane mecha action games staring anime teenagers then Project Nimbus is one title to keep an eye on. Developed by GameCrafterTeam and published by Kiss LTD it is hard not to watch footage of Project Nimbus and be instantly reminded of a brighter, more bubblegum Armored Core title. We may not have got a true Armored Core 6 from Namco and sure Project Nimbus lacks detailed customization in its current Early Access state but it seems to scratch at the same itch.  Project Nimbus will be flying the deadly skies on PlayStation 4 in Japan later this Autumn with a worldwide release scheduled for sometime in Q1 2018.  PC players

Posted on September 19, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

A world of interlocking gears, steam power, golden metal, and robots might sound like a steampunk paradise envisioned by the wildest visionaries of the Victorian age of sci-fi but I’m actually describing the broad aesthetics of The Elder Scrolls Online‘s next major expansion known as The Clockwork City. Owners of The Elder Scrolls Online willing to install the near 80GB Public Test Region’s in-development client can accept the quest to explore the weirdly wonderful world of the Clockwork God,  Sotha Sil.  Here is Bethesda’s brief description of this new DLC zone and how players can accept the introductory quest: Clockwork City. Venture to the bizarre realm of Sotha Sil, the Clockwork God
