New Screens, Gameplay Video For MechWarrior Online

Piranha Games has released a new gameplay teaser for their upcoming multiuplayer PC title MechWarrior Online, as well as sending along some screen shots showcasing the Mech Lab feature. The Mech Lab is where you will manage and customize your walking death machines in between matches, adjusting their weapon loadouts, defenses, and more. Check out the new media after the jump!

CD Projekt Red Hiring For an “RPG in a brand new setting”

A quick glance by CD Project Red’s website reveals that they are hiring people for two RPGs. One is listed as an “RPG in a dark fantasy world” while the other is an “RPG in a brand new setting.” The first has a sword icon while the second has a lovely little handgun as the icon.  Does this mean that CD Projekt will make a modern day RPG akin to Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines or Alpha Protocol? Iron Front – Liberation 1944 Wehrmacht screens released

Last week Deep Silver and X1 Software/AWAR released some Soviet themed screenshots from their upcoming tactical shooter Iron Front – Liberation 1944. This week they’ve released some screenshots depicting the other side of the coin: the Wehrmacht. If you feel the need to put the hurt on some Bolsheviks, then you can pick this game up on the 25th. Street Fighter X Tekken Crosses Assaults PC

Capcom’s latest fighting mashup Street Fighter X Tekken has been released for download for Windows PC the publisher confirmed this morning via press release. The game is already availabe on Gamers Gate and should be on Steam in due time. At the time of writing this does not appear to be the case however. The Windows version of Street Fighter X Tekken includes the full roster of 38 characters that were featured in the Xbox 360 and PS3 releases from earlier this year. Kaylpso Media have released a brand new 9 minute long walkthrough video for their Caribbean economy simulator Port Royale 3. This video shows you the varying activities and statistics you’ll find in each of the cities on the game’s map. Marvel’s Avengers Assemble On Wii-U & Xbox 360

Ubisoft and Marvel Studios announced yesterday that they will be bringing the Marvel’s The Avengers, holder of the world’s largest opening weekend ever, to home consoles sometime soon. Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth will be a motion based action title for both the Xbox 360 Kinect and Nintendos upcoming Wii-U. Battle for Eath will feature environments, characters and scenes lifted right from the film. Ubisoft promises that the game will feature 20 different characters including Iron Man, Hulk, Captian America and Thor as well as other heroes/villans that did not appear in Marvel’s latest comic book film.

Latest NPD Numbers: Games & Hardware Sales Down 32%

The latest sales numbers for the month of April have been released for the United States thanks to the NPD numbers. Cutting through all of the data it is apparent that both games and hardware sales have stayed slow in 2012. In a year where the PS Vita had very slow traction in Japan and major games like Street Fighter X Tekken failed to perform is there still a silver lining?

Keep The Flashlight Close, It’s Dark

Kaypso Media has announced DARK, a techo-style vampire stealth/action game, coming in early 2013 for PC and Xbox 360. DARK puts players in the role of a vampire “out to discover the secrets of the mysterious global GeoForge Corporation.” I bet they’re nefarious. The game will include RPG elements, allowing you to customize your character and attack the challenges of the game as you see fit. Dishonored Release Date Set

Bethesda Softworks has just announced a release date for Arkane Studios’ upcoming title Dishonored. Inhabitants of North America can pick up this up on October 9, 2012. Unfortunately, those souls who chose to be born outside of North America will have to wait until October 12th, 2012. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier DLC Announced

Ubisoft announced the first DLC pack for upcoming Ghost Recon: Future Soldier today, titled the Arctic Strike Map Pack. This pack promises to include “new multiplayer maps, a new multiplayer mode, a new Guerrilla Mode co-op map, and six additional weapons.” Arctic Strike is slated for a July 3 launch, and will cost 800 Microsoft Points or $9.99 on PSN.
