New Rainbow Moon Screenshots!

Posted on May 18, 2012 by Eric Bastelak

So there is this new turn based RPG coming exclusivly to the PSN Rainbow Moon, the game looks akin to Final Fantasy Tactics. So this could be very interesting, a turn based RPG with an epic story and world for me to discover? Who knows promising games have broken my heart before, so for the mean time I’m keeping this one at arms length. Though the RPG fanatic can’t resist holding out some hope. Rainbow Moon releases in Summer of 2012. So should get to go into agonising detail on my feelings for the game when it releases. Check out

Rayman Origins 3DS Demo Now Available

Posted on May 17, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Have you been looking for a mobile platforming fix? Ubisoft has released a demo version of Rayman Origins on the 3DS E-Shop. This demo doesn’t skimp on the content either, offering prospective owners 3 full levels from the final game including Swinging Caves, Playing in the Shade and Shooting Me Softly. The console version of Origins was a critical success and regarded as one of the best Rayman games to date. The 3DS version expands upon what made last year’s console release so great with Street Pass functionality and in game collectables. The full version of Rayman Origins for the

Solid Snake Infiltrates Vita On June 12th

Posted on May 17, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

We already knew that the Metal Gear Solid Collection would be making the jump to Vita next month but now we have a more specific window. Solid Snake will make his debut on Sony’s next generation portable on June 15th according to Konami. The Vita version of Metal Gear Solid Collection will differ slightly from its console counterparts. For one it only includes Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 since Peace Walker can be purchased digital through the PSN already.  Konami has also implemented some touch based controls in both games, giving you the ability to zoom

Ground-Attack Planes added to World of Warplanes

Posted on May 17, 2012 by Daniel Shannon

Ground-attack aircraft have just been added to World of Warplanes, the sister game to World of Tanks. A recently released trailer and new screenshots show that players will be able to dive bomb targets with “flying tanks” like the IL-2. Does this mean that, eventually, World of Tanks players will be able to call for some close air support? I certainly hope so. World of Warplanes is still a ways out. However, those interested in trying it can sign up for the global alpha test at worldofwarplanes.com. Read on for a trailer and some screenshots.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion Beta Updated

Posted on May 17, 2012 by Daniel Shannon

The preorder beta for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion, the upcoming stand alone expansion to the Sins of a Solar Empire series, has just been updated to its third version. The main addition is the inclusion of the Vasari, the sole non-human faction in the original Sins of a Solar Empire. Of course, it isn’t exactly a surprise that the Vasari are in Rebellion, but their presence is welcome. Without them, Sins would be about humans killing humans over whether religion or the free market should rule space. This is a false dichotomy. The Vasari should rule space. Rebellion

Dead Island DLC Giveaway

Posted on May 17, 2012 by Daniel Shannon

I don’t know why, but Thursday’s mortify me. It is unquestionably the scariest day of the week. The spooky mood this morning has inspired me to give out something horror related. Alas, we don’t have any proper horror games. Instead, we’re going to shake things up a bit and give out DLCs. We have Steam, Xbox 360, and PS3 codes for Dead Island’s Bloodbath Arena and Ryder White DLCs. You will find these codes hidden in our articles, Twitter, Steam group, or Facebook page. Also, I should warn you know that the ghost of Archibald Yell is still occasionally haunting

Indie Royale returns with another low-priced bundle of indie games for your indie pleasure, this time benefiting charities chosen by the developers. The Indie Royale Lightning Round All-Charity Pack comes with an incredibly long name, and the following assortment of video games: physics bubbler Osmos, real-life cheatfest B.U.T.T.O.N., rabbinical RPG The Shivah, and Blueberry Garden, which they describe as a “short experimental game about curiosity and exploration.” Currently, the base price for the bundle is in the low $4 range, and as usual the price will fluctuate based on whether or not customers pay more than the minimum amount or

Fray Beta Begins

Posted on May 16, 2012 by Daniel Shannon

Brain Candy has just announced that it is starting a beta for Fray, its upcoming squad based strategy game. People who preorder the game will get guaranteed access to the beta, an additional copy to give to a friend, and any XP gained during the beta will carry over into launch. However, the beta isn’t limited to those who preorder the game. Anyone can sign up here. What is interesting about Fray is that it’s a turn based game where everyone’s orders play out in real time. That formula has made for many interesting and intense games ranging from the

Gears of War 3 Contest

Posted on May 16, 2012 by Daniel Shannon

We’ve decided to reboot our Gears of War 3 contest. In retrospect, starting such a contest in the first week of our existence was a bad call. Also, the requirements and the mountain of legalese were probably unhelpful. Here is the new setup for the contest. We’ll give away 3 copies of Gears of War 3 once we’ve reached 500 likes on Facebook. After that number has been reached, people will have a few days to enter our drawing via our Facebook page. We will, naturally, make an announcement on the site with further details when that occurs. The prizes

DustForce Giveaway

Posted on May 16, 2012 by Daniel Shannon

I don’t know about you, but I tend to procrastinate a lot. For instance, I’ve just started my spring cleaning. It probably won’t be finished until September. In honor of my cleaning efforts, we’re giving away copies of the indie game DustForce, where you play as a really acrobatic janitor. There are 50 perilous levels to clean up, so I guess this counts as a hardcore janitor simulator. You can find steam codes for the game in our articles, Steam group, Facebook, or Twitter.
