Paradox Interactive Hosting A War of The Roses Live Stream

Paradox Interactive announced today that their latest title, A War of The Roses, will receive the livestream treatment this Wednesday on Twitch.Tv. The livestream will feature the president of Paradox Interactive as well as a several developers from Fatshark, the game’s developers. A War of Roses is a 15th century  war game that pits two rival branches  of the Royal House of Plantagenet against each other. Players will control their commander through a third person perspective, leading them into battle in either a single player campaign or online multiplayer where new upgrades and abilities can be earned through a points

Microsoft Posts “Secret” Avatar Motocross Screens

Microsoft’s official XBLA blog, Play XBLA, posted some interesting “secret” screenshots this morning showcasing an unannounced title featuring Avatars. The two screenshots show the Xbox Avatar’s riding motorcycles in a dessert environment complete with palm trees and another has an avatar performing a handstand while flying through the air.

12 Minutes of Grainy Halo 4 Beta Footage Leaked

Halo 4 is going to be one of the biggest games at Microsofts E3 conference, scheduled to take place in just a week’s time. Fans of Halo got a bit of an unexpected treat over the weekend with an eleven minute video of the game’s multiplayer beta leaking online. If you can stomach shakycam footage filmed off of a CRT monitor, then you two can enjoy footage from Halo 4’s internal multiplayer beta.

Alan Wake’s American Nightmare | Review

This week, on Night Springs…. Now available on PC, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, a quasi-sequel to Remedy Entertainment’s 2010 third-person adventure Alan Wake, is so concerned with name-dropping and referencing its predecessor that it never really finds a strong voice of its own. While this game is not true DLC for the original, neither the premise, the dialogue, nor the combat will make sense to those who have not completed Alan’s initial story. Nor, I suspect, would they care.

Atlus Releases New Gungnir Screenshots

Atlus has released a whole series of screenshots from the North American version of their upcoming strategy RPG game Gungnir. Gameplay is divided between two different phases, event scenes and strategy battles using the traditional Strat-RPG formula similar to other titles in the genres. In between these two phases players have the ability to buy new weapons and armor to upgrade their party. Interestingly the game also includes a special “easy mode” for new players to the genre. It is nice to see Atlus include mechanics for players who might pick up Gungnir without being entirely in the know. Check

New Zone of the Enders Annnounced

Today at the Zone of the Enders HD press event, it was revealed that a brand new Zone of the Ender’s is currently under developed by Kojima Productions. Additionally, Konami announced a prized special edition of Zone of the Enders  that includes a remixed soundtrack, glossy booklets for both of the remade titles, and the ReBOOT Book, which features dialogues between Hideo Kojima and art director Yoji Shinkawa looking at the remake’s development. No major details have been announced for the new Zone of the Enders, including plans for E3.

Demon Souls Online Support Extended Amidst Popularity

Are you still enjoying being slain by impossibly tough creatures in Demon’s Souls? Enough people are obviously still playing the game as Atlus announced that they will be extended server support for the foreseeable future in North America. The servers were originally scheduled to go offline on May 31st 2012, just seven short days from now. The game’s spiritual successor Dark Souls is still quite popular on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 as well. Although Dark Soul does not appear on the Top 20 list of most active Xbox games there are people on my friends list playing it

Cast A Spell Using Your Hands In Harry Potter For Kinect

Just because the long running series of films ended last year doesn’t mean Warner Bros can’t returnsto the Harry Potter universe with this fall’s release of Harry Potter Kinect. This latest trip to Hogwarts promises to revisit key moments from the entire eight book series. Just how will Kinect spread the magic of Hogwarts? Players will be able to cast spells using physical gestures or by calling out the spell’s name using Kinect’s built in microphone. Along with the announcement of the game Warner Bros released several screenshot which you can check out after the jump.

As we reported previously, this free update includes numerous tweaks, in addition to a new map and two new gameplay modes. Jet Set Radio Returns To PS Vita, Xbox & PS3

SEGA Europe and SEGA of America announced in a joint press release that SEGA’s Dreamcast classic Jet Set Radio will be returning on the PlayStation vita some time later this year. JSR Will also be released on the Xbox Live and PlayStation Network as well. This isn’t a straight port of Jet Set Radio either. All versions will render the vibrant version of Tokyo gamers have come to love in high definition. SEGA also confirmed that the original soundtrack from the Dreamcast version will be returning in this version. Om the PS Vita SEGA has implemented camera integration as well
