Top 5 Games Under $20: XBOX 360

Posted on June 28, 2012 by Andrew Minott

At least once a week, I get someone at work or a friend or relative coming to me with “hey, I just got a 360, what games should I get?” Generally, that’s a tough question to answer because everyone’s taste is different, especially for people who aren’t heavily involved in the gaming culture already. Some people like this, some people like that, some people can’t stand either of them. For that reason, I usually shy away from suggesting a brand new release, as $60 is a lot to plunk down on something that isn’t a sure bet (or very near

Blizzard Fixes ‘Act I’ Glitch For New Diablo Players

Posted on June 28, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Last week we reported that Blizzard had implemented several restrictions on new purchasers of Diablo III. Some of these restrictions were intentional, such as the inability to create private games or use the real money auction house, and some of them were the result of a glitch found after the restrictions were put into place. Players who buy Diablo III digitally will no longer be subject to the level 13 or be restricted to the first act of the game. They would will however not be able to access public games, the auction house or trader received items for up

Posted on June 28, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

The house that Sonic built certainly seen better days. The embattled publisher had already closed some operations in North America, and now they’re following suit with closures in Australia and Europe, which will affect an unknown number of employees. Just like the previous closures SEGA has stated that they will be shifting focus in Europe and Australia towards profitable franchises in digitally delivered content. SEGA has partnered  Koch Media to assist with the publishing of physical goods (ie. packaged retail games) in Switzerland Austria and France, they will however continue to publish physical games in Australia. After Team Fortress 2 was released back in 2007, Valve has steadily released “Meet The” videos for all of the games classes. In addition to the video, you’re able to purchase an inflatable Balloonicorn, the Mayor of Valve’s “Pyroland,” for $29.99 on ThinkGeek. Oh, and no, we still don’t know if the Pyro is male, female,

Persona 4 Arena Bio: Chie Satonaka

Posted on June 27, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Today’s Persona 4: Arena character profile, courtesy of Atlus, focuses on the familiar face that you’ve probably seen in the games artwork and on the various news stories we posted about Persona 4: Arena and Persona 4: Golden in the past few weeks. Chie Satonaka’s green athletic jacket and skirt combination is certainly memorable, as with many of the Persona characters she has a very distinct style. Being a tomboy she’s not afraid to get involved in some rough and tumble behavior, and her signature temper sure doesn’t help that.

Posted on June 26, 2012 by Jason Bassett

There is a number of different elements that make up a video game. One is obviously the gameplay. Two would be the pretty images that you see on your screen. But there is one area where many people are finally getting to notice: the music. Video game music has, for a long time, but one of my most favorite parts of a video game. Of course, this applies to movies as well, but video games have been truly unique in the way music has been presented over the years. So much, that a music genre spawned from the type of

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier has been available for home consoles since last month but now the game has deployed onto a whole new platform, Windows PC. Bringing with it a whole new array of PC exclusive features such as volume metric lighting, soft shadows and most importantly DirectX 11 support.
