Mass Effect 3 N7 Weekend – September 7th

It appears that every other weekend Bioware puts out one of these weekend events. This weekend is one of those weekends as Operation Vigilance gets ready to commence tomorrow – Friday September 7th. It will run from Friday until Sunday and it appears that the Squad Goal won’t be as much trouble as some of the previous events. Now for the Allied Goal, that may take some work. Here are the details for Operation Vigilance: Squad Goal: Complete up to and including wave 10 on any difficulty without using a consumable (medi-gel, ammo, Ops pack or Cobra missile launcher). Trials Evolution Comes to PC, Rides Tandem Bike with Trials HD

In a move bound to excite keyboard manufacturers, RedLynx’s Trial series is making the jump back to PC with the recently announced Trials Evolution: Gold Edition.   The PC release will collect all of the base content of this year’s Trials Evolution but will also extended the pain with all of the content from 2009’s Trials HD, including all DLC and expansions released for that game. This brings the total ammount of masochistic motocross to more than 120 tracks, minigames and multiplayer levels.

Darksiders 2 Patch Going Live Soon

On the official Darksiders 2 forums, Vigil Games has announced that patches for both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions of Darksiders 2 will be hitting very soon. Crimson Dragon: Side Story Coming To Windows Phone

Borderlands 2 Mechromancer Coming October 16th

Ubisoft Is Saying Goodbye To Always-On DRM

PC gamers will be relieved to hear that Ubisoft is finally dropping its always-on digital rights management. If you remember Diablo III, that game required players to always be connected to the Internet in order to play. Ubisoft’s PC games will no longer be like that. Fitting for a movie, Hello Games will be deploying their follow-up on a Friday rather than on the tradational Wednesday XBLA release slot. Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu promised big Capcom news earlier this week. Well, the ruling is in, and via Andriasang, we know now the magazine has the scoop on the return of gaming’s favorite attorney. Teased earlier this year, these are the first concrete details on the long in the works sequels. Phoenix Wright returns, as does the trial based gameplay last seen in Apollo Justice Ace Attorney. As speculated, the series will make the jump to 3DS.

DmC: Devil May Cry Trailer Shows Off Boss Fights

The rebirth of Dante did have me worried at first. Well, all that worry has vanished because DmC: Devil May Cry is looking amazing. This video, from the PAX 2012 gaming conference, shows of Bob Barbas boss fight and the Overturn mission. (It should be noted that you may have to sign in to your Youtube account to verify age). DmC: Devil May Cry will be released on January 15th. Seems like early next year is going to be stacked up as bad as the end of this year. DMC, Tomb Raider, Bioshock: Infinite, etc…etc…etc…

Xbox 360 Retail Releases – Week Of Sept. 4th, 2012

Black Mesa, a Fan Recreation of Half Life, Releases Sept 13

Lightning Returns to Final Fantasy

As if we didn’t get enough of the Final Fantasy XIII goodness, we get another call to action from Square Enix. Tonight, Square Enix formally announces LIGHTNING RETURNS: FINAL FANTASY XIII. This will be the final game in the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy. If you head over to visit Square Enix’s site, you will find a video of Yoshinori Kitase explaining about a crystal and more about the game itself. Kitase tells us, instead of doing a trailer for the game, there will be “multiple presentations” that will be shown throughout the site, beginning September 4th.
