Posted on September 15, 2012 by Joshua Rust

So here are next weeks tracks, releasing on September 18th, 2012. • The Offspring – “Days Go By” O X • Smash Mouth – “Why Can’t We Be Friends” O • Smash Mouth – “Can’t Get Enough of You Baby” O Tracks cost 160 MSP each. As the game’s title hints at, Run Roo Run has you playing as a hat wearing kangaroo. There are various stages to complete, and you need to jump over every obstacle that they throw out. Even if you don’t sound particularly interested, you should still try the game out, because it’ll be free for the next week on Apple’s App Store, as part of Apple’s Free App of the Week program. Earth Defense Force 4 Announced With Trailer

Posted on September 14, 2012 by Joshua Rust

If I can say one thing about the Earth Defense Force series…it’s crazy fun. Just announced is the sequel called Earth Defense Force 4 – as of now. EDF4 boasts co-operative multiplayer for “large numbers of people” and a new female class character called the “Wing Diver”. Apparently she can zip around the map causing all kinds of pest control. Here is the first trailer for EDF4: [youtube id=”PXhm8_jgllU” width=”600″ height=”350″] No exact date has been given, but it’s expected to release in 2013.

Obsidian Entertainment Kickstarting Project Eternity

Posted on September 14, 2012 by Les Major

I grew up on PC titles like Fallout, Icewind Dale, and PlaneScape. As a huge AD&D fan, these treasures had tons of content to explore and always some fresh adventure to discover. That’s ‘Project Eternity’ to be exact. While there arn’t many details on it yet, it’s a safe bet to assume this will be a fantastic game. With creators I’ve loved throughout my youth coming back and offering up new content through kickstart I’m finally seeing the true value of group funding like this. If projects like this are possible to begin with, it’s positive to see them coming

8 Minutes Of Campaign For Medal Of Honor: Warfighter

Posted on September 14, 2012 by Joshua Rust

Medal Of Honor: Warfighter is about a month away from being released and EA/Danger Close are showing off some single player campaign in this new trailer. Medal Of Honor: Warfighter is supposed to be set in realistic Middle East warfare campaigns. I know that these games are pretty much designed for the multiplayer component, but for once I’d like to see a fairly lengthy single player as well. Maybe Medal Of Honor can deliver on that. [youtube id=”IPGS3T3sjUQ” width=”600″ height=”350″] Medal Of Honor: Warfighter is set to release October 23, 2012.

Posted on September 14, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

There are certain gaming projects that we just all assume will never see the light of day – Duke Nukem Forever, Black Mesa: Source, Half Life 3 but now we can cross of two of those three. The team behind Black Mesa: Source have released a preview build of the game that includes all content up to the Lambda Core. Metro 2033 Heading To The Big Screen

Posted on September 14, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

THQ’s Metro 2033 is heading to the big screen with help from producer Mark Johnson and writer F. Scott Frasier, Kotaku reports.  Johnson has worked on the likes of  Chronicles of Narnia and  Galaxy Quest. Fraiser only have a few writing credits, all of them videogame related, dating back to 1997. Metro 2003: Last Light, the next game in the post apocalyptic first person shooter franchise is due out sometime next year. Presumably the film and Last Light will have not tie into each other, as developing a feature film in under a year seems near impossible unless you are

Mark your calendars because Ninty hopes that this November will spark a second Wii craze! Japanese WiiU Price & Date Revealed Tomorrow

Posted on September 12, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Speculation surrounding the WiiU’s price will end tomorrow, for the Japanese at least. In a similar fashion to their E3 Nintendo Direct events, the Big N will make the announcement via pre-recorded message streaming online rather than at a traditional press conference. Japan’s pricing structure and release date will be a solid indicator of what we can expect in regards to North America. Just don’t take it as concrete truth, the Wii launched in Japan almost two weeks after it’s North American counterpart and the Japanese currency is currently worth a little less at exchange than it was last decade.
