TGS: It’s a Fantasy Life

Posted on September 21, 2012 by Les Major

Level 5 showed off a new trailer to their upcoming game Fantasy Life today at the Tokyo Game Show. The game, which began development three years ago for the Nintendo DS, will finally be released in December for the 3DS. The game looks a lot like Nintendo’s Animal Crossing, except that it feels like this could have been the next evolution of the Animal Crossing series. This is how the AC games could have evolved and progressed.

PC Port of DMC: Devil May Cry Delayed

Posted on September 21, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Dante’s new look isn’t the only thing causing a stir in regards to DMC: Devil May Cry. Capcom confirmed yesterday that the PC version of the game will be delayed until after the console versions release. The Windows/Mac port is not being handled by Ninja Theory, the game’s developers, but rather by QLOC who handled the PC duties for the mediocre Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City and the pretty good Street Fighter X Tekken. If you’re going to be buying Capcom games, maybe you should wait for the ULTRA SUPER DELUXE re-release of DMC. Although, I am uncertain as to

If you are on the fence as to whether or not the next MOH will fill this season’s shooter gap, this gives you a chance to get it out at no risk! EA has stated that if 3 million players download the beta they will release a music video inspired by Medal of Honor featuring Linkin Park’s Castle of Glass Single. They also reminded everyone that if you pre-purchase the game before its October

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen Expansion Announced At TGS

Posted on September 21, 2012 by Joshua Rust

Just announced is an major expansion to Capcom’s new IP Dragon’s Dogma – titled “Dark Arisen.” Granted there is not a lot of information about this expansion other than it is tentatively dated for 2013. This game, even for its flaws, it one of the best new IPs I’ve played this year and I truly enjoy the heck out it. Here is the teaser trailer for Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen (and it’s just that…a teaser): [youtube id=”i6uJMg_jPvI” width=”600″ height=”350″] Also, there are additional modes supposedly set to launch before the end of the year as well: Speedrun & Hard mode.

Posted on September 21, 2012 by Joshua Rust

With the release of Borderlands 2 just a few short days ago, you would think the hype for this game is over. Wrong! Randy Pitchford, CEO & Executive Producer, has teased some more information about even more classes are a possiblity for Borderlands 2. Here are a few thing that Randy Pitchford had to say in a Q&A: “We created the ability in Borderlands 2 to add additional characters because we want to use that ability. ” “The Mechromancer is the first one. I hope to do more. The success of the Mechromancer will help to define this. Our ambition and

Posted on September 20, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Did you realize Arc System Works had another fighting franchise? Many new players were probably introduced to them through Blazblue and its various sequels but their last generation darling, Guilty Gear, is about to make a resurgence in a huge way. Announced at the Tokyo Gameshow was a port of the upcoming Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R for the PlayStation Vita. As Joystiq points out, Accent Core Plus R, shouldn’t be confused with the HD port of the original Accent Core Plus, which is scheduled to hit XBLA/PSN in Japan sometime next month. This next Arcade iteration is

Permanent Bans being Issued for Fifa 13 Ultimate Team Exploits

Posted on September 20, 2012 by Broken Joysticks

Fifa 13 released September 25th but already EA has their ban hammers in sight on some players. Apparently there are users who have been exploiting the FIFA 13 Ultimate Team web app, and was taken offline for maintenance to sort out the issues before bringing it back up and running. The exploit had  people gaining illegitimate access to restricted packs of football player cards such as Christiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid and Lionel Messi of FC Barcelona in their packs and then selling them for profit.

Metal Gear Social Sneaks Card Battles Onto Your Phone

Posted on September 20, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Metal Gear is no stranger to add genre mash-ups. Whether it’s Solid Snake appearing in Super Smash Bros Brawl or Hideo Kojima’s digital card game MGS ACID, Snake isn’t confined to one particular gameplay style. This is certainly true of Konami’s latest Metal Gear title, Metal Gear Social, which the company describes as a mobile game sneaking game with a card collecting element. The gameplay in Social is divided into two distinct sections: The first has the player controlling Snake as he sneaks from one side of the map to another, similar to sections in Peace Walker. The other has

3DS Circle Pad Goes XL

Posted on September 20, 2012 by Jason Bassett

In a move that’s not surprising in the least, Nintendo looks as though they have announced a brand new Circle Pad Pro for the Nintendo 3DS XL. Information is scarce, there is no release date or price (sound familiar?), but there is a mock up of how the add-on will look like. Nintendo introduced the Nintendo 3DS Circle Pad Pro back in 2011 and was released in February in 2012 Stateside. The new model seems not much removed from it’s predecessor, which in my mind, is a good thing. Take a look at the screen below.

With the conclusion of the trilogy of Mass Effect, many fans (including myself) have wondered…”What’s next for Mass Effect if anything?”.
