Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams Launch Trailer

Posted on October 24, 2012 by Les Major

From a long past evolving from a Mario clone into a DS game that looked more original, and finally into the stunning game that was released this week, Giana Sisters is a platformer that deserves a look. From German developer Black Forest Games it’s fantastic visuals bring a new flair to the genre by allowing gamers to switch between a punk and cute version of the heroine. However, not just her look changes, the whole world (or dream rather) changes along with her! She also gains different abilities depending on who you’re switched to. Take a look at the game below

A Look Back At ‘Great Giana Sisters’ from 1987

Posted on October 24, 2012 by Les Major

Recently released for PC and now available on Steam, ‘Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams‏,’ has a very interesting past that many may not be aware of. This is actually the 25th anniversary of the Giana Sisters much like many other game series recently. However you probably havn’t heard of the original ‘Great Giana Sisters’ have you? The reason for that more than likely is that Nintendo had the game pulled from shelves due to the original being a Super Mario Bros. clone. This is actually quite unfortunate since the game itself clearly shows some of the concepts from this weeks Giana

The History Behind ‘Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams‏’

Posted on October 24, 2012 by Les Major

Rae has already provided a great preview for Giana Sisters in our new section, ‘What’s New On The Shelf,’ but I’d like to elabourate on the background of this game and why you should be interested. Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams‏ is quite the tale of an indie project going successfully right. German developer Black Forest Games created “The Great Giana Sisters” back in the 80s which was a Super Mario Bros clone. Nintendo had the game pulled from shelves, yet however in 2009 there was a Giana game released on the DS.

FIFA 13 | Review

Posted on October 23, 2012 by Jason Nason

FIFA 13 is a solid soccer game with lots of depth and the key to playing the game is to remember the old phrase that “there is no I in team.” While that may seem like a silly thing to say when playing a single player game the game is much more satisfying and you will have more fun playing if you let the other game controlled players on your team take part in the defending.

Posted on October 23, 2012 by Jason Bassett

Zynga seems to be hit with the worst luck, it seems. It appears that Zynga has announced layoffs on nearly 100+ people within multiple departments within the company. NiGHTS into DREAMS… | Review

Posted on October 22, 2012 by Jeff Wade

Much like listening in on someone’s dreams, NiGHTS into Dreams… is endlessly fascinating to those experiencing it but incomprehensible to anyone listening in. First released on the Sega Saturn 16 years ago, NiGHTS (hencforth just Nights for the sake of copy editors everywhere) was Sonic Team’s big push for the console, an ambitious game that aimed to accurately convey the feeling of flight just as their namesake aimed to capture the sensation of speed. This re-release comes in two flavors; a no frills rendering of the original as seen in 1996 and an HD upscale of the 2008 Japan only

Posted on October 22, 2012 by Joshua Rust

Apparently there is a virus going around through the Xbox 360 version of Borderlands 2 dubbed: ‘Graveyard.sav’.  It affects your save file and can be aquired by playing in public games or with friends that have played in public games. Here is the official statement from Gearbox Software: “Recently a few users have begun violating the Xbox Live Code of Conduct by using an external application to maliciously disrupt the experience and sabotage characters of legitimate Borderlands 2 players on Xbox 360. Fortunately it’s easy to avoid this scenario. While we work to resolve this as quickly as possible with
