New Fire Emblem Awakening Trailer

Posted on January 21, 2013 by Jason Nason

Nintendo released a new commercial for their upcoming trip game Fire Emblem Awakening today. The trailer sheds some light on the game including the fact that certain choices in the game will impact your outcome later. “Every decision counts,” the trailer warns. “This is life; this is death.” Seems like a pretty ominous especially when you have a reset button. But the implications are obvious and rather exciting. It’s nice to have consequences and differing outcomes based on your choices rather than one vanilla story and end result. Branching storylines, if this is what will be implemented, are fantastic.

Kojima: Metal Gear Rising Originally Starred Grey Fox

Posted on January 21, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance once was set to star the original cyborg ninja, Grey Fox (Aka. Frank Jager), according to series creator Hideo Kojima. Speaking with IGN he states the original idea was shot down in favor of newly augmented bad ass Raiden after considering feedback given to him by staff at Kojima Studios. He felt that passing on some of the responsibility regarding the direction of the series to younger designers was key to its continued success. “It was my staff in Kojima Productions that insisted on Raiden, and I respected their idea … In my personal opinion, I

Starbreeze’s New IP Is ‘Storm’ – Defines Their Future

Posted on January 21, 2013 by Joshua Rust

T0day Swedish developer Starbreeze Studios has announced that they are working on a co-op Sci-fi FPS that will define the future for them – or so their website states.  Very few details are known about Storm, except that it is a Sci-fi co-op FPS that is being developed “behind closed doors” and that it is “a long-term project.” A lone image has been posted on the company’s official website. I’m hoping for Starbreeze to make some magic as they did all those many years ago with games like The Darknessand their take on The Chronicles Of Riddickfranchise. Those two games

January 17th Nintendo Download

Posted on January 17, 2013 by Jason Nason

No love for DSiWare this week as the week’s releases are confined to the Wii U and 3DS. Nintendo released the highly anticipated Fire Emblem Awakening demo today as well as Kirby’s Star Stacker for the 3DS Virtual Console and the quirky Tokyo Crash Mobs. Otherwise there’s a couple of older 3DS retail titles added to digital download and the addition of Amazon Instant Video to the Wii U. Somewhat of a slow week on the download front this week.

New Xbox To Replace Xbox Live Chat With Skype?

Posted on January 17, 2013 by Broken Joysticks

While I’m usually hesitant to post what could be a rumor, there are a lot of facts that point this to being true. Computer and Video Games UK has heard that Microsoft is looking to merge their previous communication tools into a Skype future so to say. Which would mean not only the new Xbox but PCs and tablets as well.

This brand new bundle comes packed with a special white 500 GB PlayStation 3 console, a white dual shock controller and one year of PlayStation Plus. This brand new package will be available for $299.99 in both the United States and Canada.
