Borderlands 2 Gets Level Cap Increase & Sixth Playable Character

Posted on March 25, 2013 by Joshua Rust

We all knew it was a matter of time before Gearbox Software announced a level cap increase. But we also pondered what the pricing would be. Would it be free for the season pass holders? Are they going to do the insane and make us pay more for it? And when the heck is it going to release? Also, at the beginning of the month they teased a new, 6th playable character as well. When is that going to release? What kind of character is it going to be? Gearbox has finally answered most of these questions – to an

Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk | Review

Posted on March 25, 2013 by Broken Joysticks

Tecmo Koei is probably best known for its innovative and creative item crafting based series Atelier, developed by Gust, which is one of the more respected series in the JRPG genre. Whereas other JRPGs have usually focused on straight-forward “save the world” stories, and many other games skewing darker and darker in the modern gaming world, it is nice to know that a developer can still put out something nice and fluffy, while nonetheless, still be engaging and entertaining.

Is Call of Duty: Ghosts Activision’s Next Big Game?

Posted on March 25, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Over the weekend the Spring Equinox happened, and just like the seasons change, the next Call of Duty‘s reveal should only be a few short weeks away. Supposed details surrounding the game’s plot, weapons and mechanics are supposedly starting to leak out. Considering the source, a random YouTube user, take all of what is coming with a grain of salt, but keep in mind that Modern Warfare 3 had its own huge leak two years ago that proved accurate.

Saint’s Row IV Once Featured Dragons & Stephen Colbert

Posted on March 25, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Would you believe us if we told you that Saints Row IV originally featured Stephen Colbert as the president of the United States? How about taking a page from Skyrim, with dragons flying around all over the place? For a game originally scheduled to be a downloadable expansion to Saints Row IV, titled Enter The Dominatrix, The folks at Violition have had so many crazy ideas that they have tossed entire drafts of the game’s script in to the trashbin. All of the details come from a rather detailed piece over at IGN.

Dead or Alive 5 Plus | Review

Posted on March 24, 2013 by Jason Fayta

The PlayStation Vita is starting to become a portable utopia for fighting fans. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Street Fighter X Tekken, Mortal Kombat, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend, and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale already grace the system, and if you include the games available from the PSP’s library, such a Tekken 6 and Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max, you have a line-up of titles that should appease the most ardent of fighting fans. Dead or Alive 5 Plus (hereafter DOA5+), Team Ninja’s portable installment of Dead or Alive 5, has a lot of competition, and with the aforementioned ports all

Reminder: Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory Now Available

Posted on March 24, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Fans of JRPG and NIS America’s quirky sense of humor can rejoice as Hyper Dimension Neptunia Victory is now available at North American retail, after a slight delay. This is a game I’ve personally been following for months and can’t wait to spend hours with Neptunia and her video-game inspired ensemble. The game’s story takes place sever years after the prevention of Arfoire’s revival. While GamesIndutri has enjoyed relative peace, Neptune has been transported to an alternate world facing off against a “group of seven” who seek to rid this strange world of the CPUs. Based off the 1980s videogame

Army Of Two: The Devil’s Cartel Launch Trailer

Posted on March 21, 2013 by Joshua Rust

Visceral Games got off to a fairly decent start this year with Dead Space 3 averaging in at a 78/100 on Metacritic. They look to revive an otherwise stale franchise next week when they release Army Of Two: The Devil’s Cartel on Xbox 360 & Playstation 3. So to keep the hype up for the games impending launch, Electronic Arts & Visceral Games have released a new trailer – the launch trailer in fact. While I loved the first game, I felt that the sequel was a bit off in places. I’m hoping that Visceral Games renews my faith in this
