First Defiance DLC Detailed

Posted on May 14, 2013 by Joshua Rust

Trion Worlds, creator of Defiance, have announced the first details on DLC for their epic MMO Sci-fi shooter. For the Season Pass holders, you should know the deal by now, you will get 5 DLCs at a reduced price. But the question always remains: Is that content going to be good enough to warrant my purchase of the Season Pass? Well, I know this is just the first DLC but it looks like Trion Worlds will be doing everyone justice. Not only for the Season Pass holders, but there will also be free DLC so that it won’t isolate friends from

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified Details & Trailer

Posted on May 13, 2013 by Joshua Rust

In development at 2K Marin is the newest installment in the XCOM legacy of games titled The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. With the success that the first game on this generation of consoles it was only a matter of time before another one would be on the way. This game is not a direct sequel, in fact it’s not even played from the same perspective. At it’s core, The Bureau is still an XCOM game, but a few changes have been added to make use of the first person perspective that the game is played in.

World of Warcraft – Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War

Posted on May 12, 2013 by Les Major

It should be no surprise that Christie Golden’s latest World of Warcraft book is a masterpiece. Perfect not only as fantasy fiction, but more so as a piece of literature itself. I’ll get more into that later. Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War is a defining moment in the lore Warcraft fans have come to know and love. After the Cataclysm had drawn so many together in a noble cause to save their world, that time has no passed and the world again is changing. Instead of having the factions of Azeroth venture to Pandaria in Blizzard’s latest expansion, they are

Will Xbox Infinity Be Microsoft’s New Console Title?

Posted on May 10, 2013 by Les Major

The UK branch of the International Business Times has reported that it seems the next Xbox may be called Xbox Infinity. The above logo however hasn’t been confirmed, and has even been called into question by a user on VG Leaks. Developer sources have apparently confirmed that the big reveal coming on May 21st will be named the Xbox Infinity. Is this true? Keep in mind, none of this is confirmed for certain but this is a new possible name for Microsoft’s new console. Personally I liked Xbox 720 which was one possible name for the system which has earlier

Batgirl DLC On Route To Injustice: Gods Among Us

Posted on May 10, 2013 by Les Major

Revealed by an accidental Xbox Live listing as shown here Nether Realm has since revealed that Batgirl will indeed be a DLC character. The Mortal Kombat developer stated “Looks like the bat’s out of the bag. Batgirl is a playable DLC character in Injustice. Catch her gameplay next week!” This brings us up to two of four DLC characters we know of with Lobo being the first announced who will be released on May 7th. He was announced when the game was released presumably (spoilers) due to his inclusion in one of the characters ending sequences in battle mode.

John Carpenter Would Love To Make A Dead Space Movie

Posted on May 10, 2013 by Les Major

This is absolutely a movie I’d love to see! As you may remember, I gave Dead Space 3 a glowing review, as long as cheering on it’s Awakened DLC campaign. Obviously I’m a bit of a fan of the series and reading about this on Gamespot (referencing a Game Informer magazine article) sounds like a fantastic idea! John Carpenter noted that the isolated setting of the USG Ishimura in the original Dead Space would make a natural fit for a film. Though I do love the sequels, it was definitely the feel of the original that drew me into the

Saints Row IV Lets You Battle Aliens As The President

Posted on May 10, 2013 by Les Major

It’s no surprise with this quirky series that takes itself less and less seriously with each sequel, but yes, this time you are the president (seemingly still in your Saints Row custom character lead) fighting an alien race known as the Zin. The game isn’t that far off either, set to be released on August 20th for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC! Check out the newly released, “Meet The President,” trailer after the break. This will be the first Saints Row release after Deep Silver picked up the series as it’s new publisher in the unfortunate auctioning off of THQ’s

Alice: Otherlands Concept Art Shows Part Of New Game

Posted on May 10, 2013 by Les Major

Don’t panic. I’ve been reading through the Facebook posts of the above recently released concept art from the latest Alice game, and I’m here to help sort out some concerns. It seems many fans took this glance at a section of the new game, Alice Otherlands, as a Facebook social game. American McGee seems to have personally responded to these concerns with the statement after the break.

First Gameplay Of Hellraid Emerges

Posted on May 8, 2013 by Joshua Rust

Announced just a little over a week ago was Hellraid, coming from developer of the popular Dead Island franchise, Techland. Hellraid is essentially Dead Island meets Skyrim with four player co-op – which sounds like a win-win to me.  Here is how the game is described on the official website in terms of playable classes: Play in cooperation in a team of four heroes with different skills and weapon capabilities. Slaughter enemies with swords and axes as a Warrior. Heal and protect your friends with the Paladin’s defensive magic. Burn, freeze and electrocute demons with the Mage’s staff and kill

Wolfenstein: The New Order Announced By Bethesda

Posted on May 7, 2013 by Joshua Rust

Bethesda Softworks released a surprise announcement today, that is they are publishing a new Wolfenstein game. Titled Wolfenstein: The New Order, it is in development at Swedish developer MachineGames (which was founded back in 2009 by founders of Starbreeze Studios). This new installment of Wolfenstein is set in an alternate universe where the Nazi’s won World War II and this game is thought as the “reimagining” of the franchise. So a new studio takes over a great franchise and hopefully they will make something spectacular of it – unlike the most recent attempt which received a 72/100 average over at Metacritic. With

Krieg, The Pyscho Arrives May 14th For Borderlands 2

Posted on May 6, 2013 by Joshua Rust

Borderlands 2 will receive it’s second downloadable character (making the total six) on May 14th, 2013. This has just been confirmed via the ECHOcast on Twitter, which it appears that Krieg the Psycho has taken over! For those who love this game, such as me, this is a great way to get people back into the game and tide them over until the fourth campaign DLC releases. So, get ready for May 14th when You. Meat. Krieg.

Disney and EA Announce Multi-Year Star Wars Games Partnership

Posted on May 6, 2013 by Joshua Rust

The House Of Mouse and publishing giant Electronic Arts have agreed to multi-game and multiyear agreement that will put the Star Wars brand in the hands of studios like Visceral, DICE, & Bioware. Of course Bioware is no stranger as they have put out one of the best Star Wars games ever created, in my opinion, Star Wars: The Knights Of The Old Republic. No, I’m not talking about that MMO one either. Unfortunately, I don’t think this means that the impressive and promising Star Wars 1313 game will be resurrected – but one can hope. Electronic Arts will be

Road Rash Redemption Kickstarter Adds XBLA Version

Posted on May 6, 2013 by Joshua Rust

That is, if the goal is reached. Road Rash, how I miss you. How I miss taking down P.E. No.1. The chains, the mace, and overall hectic motorcycle racing carnage. The first time I played Road Rash was back on Sega Genesis and I instantly fell in love with it. I’ve long wished for a reboot or a re-release over XBLA and/or PSN and it looks like that it’s a possibility – with your help, that is. DarkSeas Games, based out of New Orleans, is looking to seek support (and I mean the financial kind) to help raise even more
