Capcom’s Dead Rising 3 Infects The Xbox One

Posted on June 10, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

The infected return in Capcom’s Dead Rising 3, announced this afternoon as a launch window exclusive for the Xbox One. I find this a bit surprising considering the fact that Dead Rising 2 and its spin-off Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, were multiplatfom titles released on the PS3 and PC. Then again, the original Dead Rising was an Xbox 360 exclusive during the summer of 2006. Dead Rising 3 stars Nick Ramos, a survivor of the break out in the city of  Los Perdidos. Other games in the franchise played with the concept of an open world, featuring many

Open World Gameplay In New Metal Gear Solid V – Phantom Pain

Posted on June 10, 2013 by Les Major

To no surprise, Metal Gear Solid V which was the title this years E3 Xbox press conference started with, looks like an incredibly fun Kojima Productions title. Taking the series into an open world seems to allow for more recon and scouting out an area before diving in to complete your mission. Stealth is of course a huge element in the game as with most Metal Gear titles. The gameplay shown even demonstrated how Snake could lean on his horse to obscure himself and avoid detection from passerbys. A list of the usually awesome Kojima Production opposition was shown including

Ryse Son Of Rome Shows Interesting Army Control / Gameplay

Posted on June 10, 2013 by Les Major

The main thing that stood out to me during the beautiful showing of Ryse was the control you have over your army. Seemingly by pressing LB you can give commands to them in combat to call in an archer strike or such during specific times. However, one of the interesting moments focused on the players army advancing with them. As if you were controlling an entire line of troops. As they approached the castle they were attacking, a cry would go out warning of arrows. The player could then respond by making the troops hide behind a wall of shields

Phil Spencer Wears State Of Decay Teeshirt

Posted on June 10, 2013 by Les Major

During the intro to Ryse, which looks absolutely fantastic, Phil Spencer who is head of Microsoft Studios was wearing a State of Decay teeshirt. I realize this is really missing the point of the tons of news that was released during this press conference, but it was cool to see a nod to XBLA’s latest game by Undead Labs. Of course, many of us are anticipating Last Of Us which releases tomorrow for PS3. It’s possible to speculate that State of Decay was a way for Microsoft Studios to give their fans a zombie game exclusive to their console. Especially

Killer Instinct Returns On Xbox One

Posted on June 10, 2013 by Les Major

One of the biggest announcements for Xbox One came with the reveal of the Killer Instinct logo and a video sharing a few fighters who would be returning to the series. Jago, Sabrewulf, and Glacious, were shown in the combat teaser video after the break. In other news, it was also shown how you can record replays and share them on Xbox Live.

Microsoft Announces New Xbox 360 Model & Changes To Xbox Live

Posted on June 10, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Xbox One might be all the rage, now that the console has been announced, but Microsoft had a few surprises and changes in store for the Xbox 360 during their press conference. Among these are the eradication of Microsoft Points, a re-designed Xbox 360. Starting in November, when the Xbox One will launch in North America, Microsoft will do away with their preparatory digital currency, Microsoft Points, replacing it with real world prices similar to Steam & PSN. Up until this items on the marketplace were prices in blocks of 400 / 800 or 1200 Microsoft Points, with the equivalent

Watch_Dogs CGI Trailer Leaks Before Ubisoft Conference

Posted on June 9, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Get an advanced look at Ubisoft’s Watch_Dogs before their official E3 conference tomorrow at 3PM, thanks to the leak of the game’s E3 trailer. Sadly the whole thing is CGI, and doesn’t contain an ounce of gameplay, but perhaps an on stage demo will after this trailer is screened. The trailer deals with protagonist Aiden Pearce hunting down an alleged Human Trafficker whom we see in the trailer is using the excuse of being “stuck in the office”, as his excuse to manage an elaborate human trafficking facility. I don’t want to spoil anymore about the trailer, but needless to

The Iron Fist tournament goes free to play this coming Tuesday with the announcement of Tekken Revolution for the PlayStation Network. In a bit of a surprise announcement, Namco Bandai announced the title yesterday, with a release date just a few days from now. So, right in the middle of E3 you can beat the living crap of people in this latest Tekken title. Screenshots From Private Battlefield 4 Alpha Surface

Posted on June 9, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Electronic Art’s latest Battlefield game isn’t exactly a secret, in fact when the game was unveiled a few months ago they treated us all to over ten minutes of in-game footage taken from the single player campaign.  What is concerning is that someone has leaked almost a dozen screenshots from an internal Alpha build right before E3. While none of the details presented are confirmed, these screenshots hint at some exciting new features for this military franchise. As others have pointed out, a few screenshots in the gallery make allusions to enhanced knife, gun and character customization. BF4 may also

Kiefer Sutherland Joins Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Posted on June 9, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Snake is back in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and this time things are going to be shaken up just a little bit. During their pre-E3 live stream Konami featured a brand new four minute segment on the latest entry in the series with series creator Hideo Kojima, not only did he share a little bit about his new vision, but also revealed the new voice actor for Snake (a.k.a Big Boss), Kiefer Southerland.

Open World Zombie Game State Of Decay Now On XBLA

Posted on June 7, 2013 by Les Major

I’d heard of State Of Decay quite a bit ago and unfortunately it fell of my radar until I saw the release on XBLA yesterday. Eager to see how the game turned out, I set aside the title I had been playing and downloaded the demo. What Undead Labs has produced is an awesome open world game that after you try it out, you’ll see that the price is quite fair. I was skeptical at first, but there is a lot to do and the games progression keeps you interested.

Zelda: Oracle of Seasons / Ages Available Now

Posted on June 7, 2013 by Les Major

The two classic Gameboy Color Legend of Zelda titles by Flagship, a previous subsidiary of Capcom, are available now on the 3DS eShop! Each is a seperate overhead Zelda game in the same style as Link To The Past by the developers of Minish Cap for Gameboy Advance. For those who long for more classic Zelda adventure like this, not only am I sure you’re excited for Link To The Past 2 which is on the way to the 3DS this holiday season, these are a set of adventures you may have missed. Personally, I’d missed them, playing Link’s Awakening
