Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag hasn’t even been released yet but Ubisoft is primed and ready to sell you additional content through the newly announced season’s pass. Available for $19.99 USD this pass entitles owners to a set of mini-missions, skins, weapons and other optional components. It will be available on next gen consoles including the PlayStation 4, Xbox One as well as current generation versions for the Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and of course PC. Injustice: Gods Among Us Version 1.06 Patch Notes

Toon Link Revealed For Super Smash Bros Wii U

The Nintendo 3DS eShop is the focus again this week with a ton of new games available from full retail releases to new eShop titles. Retail releases Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl and Rune Factory 4 both hit store shelves and the eShop this week on Monday October 1st. The titles join a bunch of new eShop games including Family Table Tenis 3D and Carps & Dragons. Rumor: GTA V Online To Feature Microtransactions

By exploiting a glitch that allows players to access the store section of Grand Theft Auto V players have gained access to some files stored on RockStar’s servers. These files include a text dump for an item called the  “Red Shark Cash Card”. Valued at $100,000 in-game currency, this virtual stack of cash is good across all of Los Santos! Other users have found a single image (pictured at the end of this article) that hints at a similar “$100,000 Maze Bank” card. Sega Purchases Index Corp, Owners of Atlus, For $141M

Index Corp, the troubled owner of third party publisher Atlus, has agreed to sell off their stake in the popular company to SEGA for the equivalent of $141 million dollars. Should everything go well the newly formed Sega Dream Corporation will take ownership of Index’s intellectual property and business operations no later than November 1st. This acquisition gives SEGA an ever-growing portfolio of long standing game franchises that will surely fit well alongside Sonic, Jet Set Radio and other classics. Deep Down Will Be Free To Play, Available Next Feb

Just in time for the PlayStation 4’s Japanese launch this coming February, Capcom has revealed that their futuristic time traveling Dungeon Crawler will be a free-to-play title. This announcement was originally made at the Tokyo Game Show before exploding on to twitter, unfortunately we know next to nothing else about how the pricing model for CapCom’s next game will work. Deep Down was originally revealed as the code name for their most recent game at the PlayStation 4 unveiling this past spring. PS Vita TV: Sony Considering Positive Western Response

During their TGS Pre-show Sony Japan announced a new set-top version of the PlayStation Vita aimed at the living room and now  SCEA CEO Andrew House has stated that the console manufacturer is ‘very encouraged’  by the excitement of western gamers.  This doesn’t confirm a western release but it is at least a small sign that at the executive level Sony is aware of western demand for this yet unreleased miniature PS Vita. Microsoft Says You Shouldn’t Place Xbox One Upright

Whenever we’ve seen the Xbox One on display, either in promotional shots or during major events, the console has always been positioned flat.       So if you’re looking to save some space in your entertainment center by standing your brand new Xbox upright you may be doing so at your own risk. EA Sports latest game in the FIFA series arrives on the 3DS with FIFA 14 hitting the eShop arriving on September 24th. Other full retail releases arriving include Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure and Hakuoki: Memories of the Shinsengumi.
