Lightning Returns Demo Available today on Xbox 360 and PS3

Square Enix announced today that a playable demo for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is now available for download on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. As a special bonus, players who download the PlayStation Network demo will automatically receive the Utsusemi Garb DLC, which includes the Heavenly Fan weapon and the Kaminari (meaning “Lightning” in Japanese) shield item. The DLC pack will download with the demo and will be unlocked in the full retail game on February 11. The DLC pack will also be available to purchase for other customers later this year. Ultimate HD Edition of Resident Evil 4 Coming to PC

Capcom announced today that the ultimate HD edition of Resident Evil 4 will be coming for PC digital download on Steam globally and available as a retail version for Windows PC in Europe. PC gamers will be able to play the survival horror masterpiece in the highest visual fidelity ever with HD running at a smooth 60 frames per second for the first time. Club Nintendo Rewards – January 2014

The month of January brings four new new downloadable game rewards for Club Nintendo members, including F-Zero. The game is one of two Virtual Console titles that are available for the Nintendo Wii/Wii U, the other is classic N64 title 1080° Snowboarding. The two other games for the Nintendo 3DS include Virtual Console title Game & Watch: Mario’s Cememt Factory and Spin Six. All four titles are available until February 9th, 2014.

Comic Studio Manga Creator Coming to Western 3DS

Siliconera revealed yesterday that Comic Studio, the upcoming Nintendo 3DS app that will allow users to create their own manga or comics, will be released in the west. Japanese developer Collavier, which is behind the app, confirmed to Siliconera that a western release is planned, though there has been no decision on a date for the release. In the app artists can draw and save up to 80 pages in 80 files, meaning that 6400 pages can be saved in the app. Drawings can be exported as a JPG image and is saved as an image in the Nintendo 3DS

SEGA Announces New Aliens Game

Earlier today SEGA & Twentieth Century Fox announced a new game in the Alien series coming to current and next gen consoles. Alien: Isolation, a first-person survival horror experience, will focus on capturing the horror and tension evoked by Ridley Scott’s 1979 classic film. Sony Introduces PlayStation Now

Today Sony announced a new streaming game service at at CES 2014 in Las Vegas. The new service will be called PlayStation Now (PS Now) and is set to be available in the United States beginning this summer.
