Illaoi, the Kraken Priestess Gets Her Own Browser Game As Riot Releases New League of Legends Champion

Posted on November 24, 2015 by Broken Joysticks

Illaoi
Illaoi, the Kraken Priestess, is the newest playable character for Free To Play money printing machine and biggest E-sport on Earth League of Legends. To celebrate, Riot has created a promotional browser-based minigame meant to show off her powers and backstory. Really it’s nothing more than a cutscene and a bunch of quick-time events, but it is a pretty neat way of introducing a new Champion to the roster. I’ve always liked how much effort Riot puts into making sure all the designs for their Champions are distinctive and have a clear personality to them. Let’s hope this new one

Fig Crowdfunding Service Opening Up To Smaller Investors

Posted on November 24, 2015 by Broken Joysticks

Fig
Fig, the crowdfunding platform that apparently already existed prior to me writing this news story, is changing it’s rules in regards to crowdfunding and “investors”. Fig’s signature feature is that if a minimum of 1000 dollars is given to a campaign, one will share in a portion of the profits proportional to the amount put in. These “investors” as Fig calls them were only allowed to participate if they had a yearly salary of at least 200.000 dollars, or a net worth of at least 1.000.000 dollars. This restriction has now been lifted for people wanting to invest anywhere between

Fnatic launches peripherals range

Posted on November 24, 2015 by Fionna Schweit

Fnatic has decided to expand beyond simple T-shirts and branded soft goods with a newly announced line of gaming peripherals. The announcement was made via the teams page and they are running a IndieGoGo   to get the line off the ground. The design choices may seem out of place but Fnatic has taken great care on their site to explain the motivation behind the design. The price certainly is hi-end with the full keyboard and mouse set available in the IndieGoGo for 167$. So what do you get for your almost 170$? The full set consists of the Flick G1 optical

AMD Crimson Driver & Software Suite Rumored For Imminent Release

Posted on November 24, 2015 by Rae Michelle Richards

Owners of AMD cards have been seeing some inferior benchmarks when compared against comparable Nvidia hardware with recent titles like Batman: Arkham Asylum and The Witcher III. Many tech journalists and enthusiasts users have speculated that this disparity may have to do with these titles utilization of Nvidia’s proprietary GameWorks technologies. Rain effects in Batman, Lighting in Fallout 4 and hair in The Witcher III all utilize Nvidia exclusive technologies that AMD owners have had to tone down or disable entirely in order to achieve the same framerates as GeForce owners. It looks like AMD might finally have an answer

Posted on November 23, 2015 by Kenny Keelan

If you’re having trouble making it in the Commonwealth of Fallout 4… …you’re far from alone on that one. There’s a lot of people out there who are already kind of burned out on the game with the sheer amount of things you can do. It’s kind of overwhelming. I totally agree with you! That’s why I came up with a rather handy-dandy guide so you can get a leg up on the terrible atrocities of the Commonwealth so that way you can get the most out of your Fallout 4 experience.

The final video in the JUST CAUSE 3 Developer Diary series takes a look at the technology behind the game: the Avalanche Engine. Riddick is coming back

Posted on November 22, 2015 by Fionna Schweit

Many fans were disappointed with the “conclusion” of the final Riddick film the self titled “Riddick”. The Necromonger story line wasn’t properly resolved and the excuse for why was flimsy at best. So fans will no doubt be excited to hear that another film has been greenlit. Vin diesel announced the film via Instagram along side  TV show to be called “Merc City” which will follow the mercenary companies of the Riddick universe. “Merc City is a show that will follow the Mercs and Bounty Hunters of the Riddick Universe,” he said. Modder Discovers Unused Weapon in Fallout 4 Data

Posted on November 21, 2015 by Broken Joysticks

A modder that goes by the name xxdeathknight72xx has found an unused weapon in Fallout 4’s data and has since released it as a mod on NexusMods. This may be something from an unreleased DLC, or simply something they chose not to include in the final game for whatever reason. The gun is a sweet looking “underwater” weapon that’s basically a harpoon gun in both appearance and function. The mod itself overrides the Railway Rifle, as it is a direct replacement for the time being. I’ll include a video from a YouTube user named Tyrannicon featuring the mod at the bottom of

Screenshots Released for Attack on Titan Game

Posted on November 21, 2015 by Broken Joysticks

Attack on Titan
Attack on Titan is getting a game and Koei Tecmo has uploaded a bunch of screengrabs and videos sans audio on its official website. The footage features some of the characters interacting with each other, while the screengrabs focus mostly on showcasing the Titans, as well as the maneuver gear. Alright, so let’s get this out of the way: The Titan’s look incredibly freaky in these. A lot of people are slagging it off for that but….I think that might be a good thing? In the original series, the titans are given purposefully weird faces and walking cycles, with frames
