Is Konami holding Hideo Kojima hostage?

Posted on December 4, 2015 by Fionna Schweit

Last night at the game awards Geoff Keighley leveled some fairly heavy accusations at Konami who reportedly did not “allow” Hideo Kojima to come to Los Angelos to accept the award that his game Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain won. Geoff did not mince words, calling out Konami for not allowing Kojima to come to the Game Awards in LA. ““Mr. Kojima had every intention of being with us tonight,” Keighley said during the proceedings, via Gematsu. “But unfortunately, he was informed by a lawyer representing Konami just recently that he would not be allowed to travel to tonight’s

The Overwatch beta is coming to an end

Posted on December 4, 2015 by Fionna Schweit

Overwatch is game that everyone wants to play, but very few have access to. It seems Blizzard has decided that even those few are too many to play its FPS-MOBA hybrid, and they will be shutting off their (currently up) beta servers next week. The beta servers have been up for about a month and a half and included one (semi)open weekend of play for many players, but the rest of the time were restricted to a small group of beta testers who were given access. You can read all about Overwatch oonn our site here but the long and short

Steam adds game deletion option

Posted on December 4, 2015 by Fionna Schweit

Many people find themselves regretting a spur of the moment steam purchase, knowing that that game will stay in the see-through grey text of a game that is not installed taking up space for the rest of time you have a Steam account. No more, Steam will now allow users to delete games. This option while it may seem frivolous is huge for many people who like to keep extremely organized and not have large gaps in their Steam library. I mean, how many of us have literally 100 uninstalled games we have 0 hours playing? Just me? oh…. well

TRON Run/r is now available in early access!

Posted on December 4, 2015 by Fionna Schweit

The neon highlighted world of Tron is coming back to your computer. During last nights game awards there was a commercial featuring a bunch of awesome looking Tron Run/r game play. We dont know much about the “action arcade” title so far, but its TRON people! Neon! Shiny! Light Cycles! Flynn! In case you cant tell I absolutely love the Tron its neon accented world, the idea of it being in the silicone of computer chips, i find it all fascinating. So when ever Disney (current IP holder) shouts TRON, I tend to shout SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY.

Spending An Evening At San Francisco’s Brewcade

Posted on December 3, 2015 by Rae Michelle Richards

Videogames and alcohol can sometimes be great partners together – I spent many nights hanging out with friends drinking vodka coolers and playing Halo 3 back in University. San Francisco’s Brewcade takes this synergy of videogames and booze and adds an arcade twist. With an plethora of different brews and a whole lot of older coin-operated machines it certainly had the allure of reliving childhood days putting quarters into a machine with the added charisma bonus only a small drink can provide.

Posted on December 2, 2015 by Fionna Schweit

You read that headline right, good ole Dwarf Fortress is getting an update. After starting a Patreon and raising over 4,000$ a month, developer Bay 12 games has delivered on their promise. The first of what I assume will be many releases is now live, and it features a few new things as well as all the classic Dwarf Fortress goodness, and of course its still free. The launch announcement does not mince words, it states: “The flow of fortress life is quite a bit different now—specific breaks and parties have been replaced by taverns and performances and needs and inebriation.

Saitek Heavy Equipment Precision Control System | Review

Posted on December 1, 2015 by Fionna Schweit

The Saitek® Heavy Equipment Precision Control System for PC is more than just a mouth full, it’s gigantic. Saitek is well known for making quality peripherals for both the PC and Console market, so it came as no surprise that when a new awesome peripheral like the heavy equipment controller is released you know it’s going to be incredible. When I saw the announcement that Satiek would be releasing a brand new piece of equipment like no other my interest was piqued.  The three piece set up is specially set up for Farm Simulator 2015 and it’s really a doozie.

Undertale | Review

Posted on December 1, 2015 by Broken Joysticks

Review By: Andrea Ritsu This is a review of Undertale that is 100% spoiler free. Reasons why are given in the review but I want you all to understand that this is a very difficult game to review because of this very reason. Almost any detail, even from the game’s own store page, can harm your first experience should you learn it. Knowing this, if you wish to not even risk reading this carefully written review then just know that my verdict is as follows; buy Undertale and play it as soon as possible.
