2015 Game Awards Draw 2.3 Million Viewers

Last weeks Game Awards were apparently a great sucess. If you by chance missed the show, and want to know what went down and who did what, take a few minutes to give our breakdown a read. But if like me you watched it live you already know that compared to last year at least it was a MASSIVE sucess. Now Polygon has an interview with show creator, financier, and host Geoff Keighley, where in he says that the show pulled over 2 million viewers and did over 20% better than last year. Tribes: Ascend Gets New Update Two Years After Last One

Tribes: Ascend is getting a new patch, which is surprising seeing as the last one was in March 2013. At 5 PM EST today the servers will go down for a total of six hours, after which the new patch will be live. The changes the patch makes to the game are too many to list here, but the major improvements include 3 new maps, new weapons, changes to the way the game’s premium currency works, and the rebalancing of existing classes and weapons. Counter Strike: Global Offensive Winter Update Brings New Weapon Skins

Valve has released the Winter Update for Counter-Strike­­­: Global Offensive. This update brings with it a brand new type of weapons case, new unlockable skins, a “Killer Replay” feature for Casual play and some other minor adjustments. HTC Vive Will Officially Launch In April 2016

The HTC Vive – a new virtual reality headset spearheaded by hardware manufacturer HTC and software behemoth Valve won’t see a limited release this year as expected. Instead of getting a “limited number” of headsets into the hands of consumers this winter HTC will launch the commercial version of the headset next April the company announced via their Facebook page today. Over 7000 additional development kits for the HTC Vive are expected to be in the hands of developers by the beginning of next year. Nexus mods has been hacked, unauthorized changes made to Fall Out 4 mods

Rock Paper Shotgun is reporting this morning that: “Nexus Mods, the site which has long hosted a gazillion mods for 216 games, particularly Bethesda RPGs – including Fallout 4, which has not yet followed Skyrim to the Steam Workshop. There’s been a possible hack, with some Fallout 4 mod-makers reporting suspicious changes having been made to their uploaded files. Codemaster’s DIRT Rally Takes a Sharp Turn Out of Early Access

Sparrow Racing League Goes Live Today In Destiny: The Taken King

Starting today guardians who visit the universe of Bungie’s Destiny can participate in a six-person death race on a brand new Sparrow. The next major patch – which goes live today – Destiny 2.1 – will add two new NPCs to the tower.
