Let’s Take A Look At Halo: Online For PC

Posted on January 25, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

Halo Online
Halo 3 was one of the definitive online experiences I got to spend hundred of hours in during the last generation of consoles. Released during my first year of college I can’t recall the number of nights that I spent with friends fragging each other, laughing and getting unfortunately cussed out on Xbox Live until the sun came up. When Microsoft announced that they were going to release a free-to-play FPS based upon the Halo 3 multiplayer suite for PC I was excited – only to find out that the game would be region locked to Russia Only.

While it’s not confirmed that the game will be making its way to North America anytime soon, it’s likely that Circle will be bringing that game here shortly. By tapping the Mario or Sonic amiibo figures to the New Nintendo 3DS system (or on a Nintendo 2DS/3DS with the NFC Reader/Writer accessory), players can boost Mario and Sonic’s outfits with that character’s power for the day. Basically it looks like this means that you can power up your Mii character in the game

The weekend is finally here – a time for most of us to kick back, relax and possibly catch up on our massive backlog of games. Except with the awesome deals that both Steam and a surprise Sony Flash Sale are offering it is more probably than not that more games will end up in your backlog rather than being completed. Some of the highlights include: 30 Days of game time with the fantastic FFXIV for $10.99 CDN, Sonic Generations for less than $10 CDN – which is a steal by the way every Sonic fan should play this game,

Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak the definitive review

Posted on January 22, 2016 by Fionna Schweit

A review by special guest editor Robyn Robo So it’s been a long time coming for the sequel to Homeworld & Homeworld 2, a solid 12 years and one bankruptcy in fact. When first published in 1999, Homeworld was a revolution in real time strategy, a fairly hot genre at the time being just over a year since the release of the original StarCraft., This game, although being created by much of the original team behind Homeworld, wasn’t originally going to be an official sequel, but rather a game titled ‘Hardware: Shipbreakers’. The game has been in development for five

Overwatch won’t return until February

Posted on January 22, 2016 by Fionna Schweit

If you caught the Overwatch bug and have been hoping to get your overwatch fix on in the new year, you’ll have to wait a little longer. The world heaved a collective sigh when Overwatch  took a break in December, but Blizzard promised us it wouldn’t be forever. Now, game director Jeff Kaplan has put that any speculation to rest, writing in a new blog post that it won’t return until next month. BUT! Do not despair there is a good reason. In the blog post Kaplan says “While progress has been great and the team has been working super hard to get everything implemented on
