Posted on February 25, 2016 by Broken Joysticks

Pokemon Leaked
Nerdleaks.com, a website known for hunting down info and posting it to the public before their official announcements, has just leaked the names and logo’s for the new Pokemon games. Nintendo has registered the trademarks of “Pokemon Moon” and “Pokemon Sun”, along with their corresponding logo’s. It’s been almost three years since the last generation of games (X and Y) came out. With the 3DS sales number slowing somewhat in recent month, this may help the handheld pick up the pace until Nintendo decides to announce a new one.

Posted on February 25, 2016 by Fionna Schweit

Beloved strategy RPG Disgaea is now on steam.  All the good parts of the beloved strategy title are here, and the developers have enhanced the experience with PC specific upgrades. Visual upgrades include an improved UI and textures, support for keyboard and mouse, Steam achievements, cloud saves, badges, and trading cards, and all the content from the PSP game Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness. That’s pretty neat! Take a look at the trailer for all the Disgaea goodness. [youtube id=D07AgDm4Vmk] Now that your in a good mood, let me go ahead and ruin it. This is a really garbage PC port.

Riot Studios has the worlds most popular and most played game League of  Legends to manage, so its too surprising that it took them until 2016 to get a mobile app out. A Small Dev in a Big Industry: My Trip to D.I.C.E.

Posted on February 24, 2016 by Renee Gittins

Last week I crawled out of the cave that is my home office and traveled to Las Vegas to attend the D.I.C.E. Summit, an elite game industry conference where the biggest and most influential players in the game industry meet to network, receive awards, and enjoy some time away from work for a few days. A ticket at the door will set you back $3700, which is far outside of my modest indie developer budget. Thankfully, I was one of five lucky recipients of the Intel Indie D.I.C.E. Scholarship, which Intel and the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences Foundation, who hosts D.I.C.E., sponsored this

Broken Bootlegs- Street Fighter II

Posted on February 24, 2016 by Erika

Broken Bootlegs is a weekly series covering unlicensed games (also known as bootleg games) for mainly 8-bit and 16-bit consoles. This week’s edition covers two different versions of one very well-known game and thus, some more well-known bootlegs: Street Fighter II: The World Warrior for the Famicom and Street Fighter II Rainbow Edition for Arcade One of the more curious games I found out there back when I was really getting into NES and Famicom games a good decade back was a game that I thought never had an 8-bit release: Street Fighter II. Having played the hell out of

Humble Pathfinder Bundle
Are you an experienced adventurer with years of quests under your belt? Perhaps you are a newbie who just only learned how to hold a sword? Regardless of your level of skill I’m sure we’ve all got lost in a fantasy at least once in our lives and now with the Pathfinder Humble Bundle finding your next adventure could cost as little as $1! That might seem like a bit of a sales pitch but honestly the Pathfinder series is probably one of my favorite tabletop systems. The authors took the core of Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 and thanks to
