David Hayter Returns As Solid Snake… For A Car Commercial

Posted on April 8, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

Solid Snake MGS2
Eager fans wishing to see original Solid Snake voice actor David Hayter return to his most famous role have had their wishes fulfilled in the oddest of ways. Car manufacturer Ford not only commissioned Hayter to return as Solid Snake but they also secured Paul Eiding, the voice of Colonel Roy Campbell, for a single Metal Gear machinima spot posted on their official YouTube Channel. This whole thing might seem a little surreal, given the fact that Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima parted ways with Hayter back in 2013, instead giving the role of Solid Snake to Hollywood actor Kiefer

Hyper Light Drifter | Review

Posted on April 7, 2016 by Robyn Robo

Hyper Light Drifter is an incredible and intense experience. It pulls at you with war, death, illness and loss, but it never says a word. A surreal game without any written nor spoken dialogue. The game isn’t easy either, I would say it is one of the most difficult in its genre. This grinding frustration makes the game all the more worth it when you finally do defeat one of the bosses. Recently released from a 2013 Kickstarter, I received my digital copy of Hyper Light Drifter. The project was originally presented with a 2014 release when I signed up.

With Commercial Release The Oculus DK1 Has Become a PaperWeight

Posted on April 7, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

I knew this day would come eventually but I didn’t think it would be this soon. With the release of Oculus Home and the Oculus runtime V 1.30 the original Oculus Rift Development Kit 1 (or DK1) has been left behind in favor of its more robust successors – the DK2 and the recently released consumer version, the CV1. As I packed up my trusty VR headset today in its elegant black case because these latest drivers have made it an unusable paperweight.

Epistory – Typing Chronicles gets a trailer.

Posted on April 6, 2016 by Fionna Schweit

Its been a very long time since I learned to type on Mario Teaches typing in the early 1990s. Since then typing games have come and gone, now one company is trying to revive the genre. Epistory – Typing Chronicles is a love story to a type of game thats mostly been ignored for the last 20 years. We have had a few games that use typing, off the top of my head I can think of typing of the dead and Disney’s Mickey typing adventure, but its a pretty uncommon genre. So it was with interest that I saw this
