Posted on April 22, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

Covering major gaming conventions takes a lot more effort, equipment and time management skills then the regular posts that we produce on this site.  As I am writing this post I am sitting in the Calgary International Airport waiting for the first leg of my trip to Boston, MA and I thought I might give our readers a bit of insight into what it takes to cover a major convention with thousands of attendees, dozens upon dozens of exhibitors and only one chance to get everything right.

The Technomancer is a game that has been on my radar for over a year now, since its fantastic first trailer was released showing Mars and and its inhabitants fighting to survive. Now developer Spiders (Mars: War Logs and Bound By Flame) and publisher Tindalos Interactive have shown us an all new game play trailer! looks pretty awesome to me! Mars is a place that not many games seems to want to go, and the feel of this game really peaks my interest. In the game players will find themselves playing as Zachariah the bionically enhanced and technomancer protagonist. Working with the

Battleborn Beta Review

Posted on April 20, 2016 by Fionna Schweit

Review by our newest Reviwer, so new she doesnt even have an account: Kylie Trace Sometime last summer I started hearing about Battleborn, a sci-fi/fantasy first person MOBA developed by Gearbox Software, the creators of Borderlands. Battleborn’s graphics are solid and have a cartoony feel that really adds to the colorful battlefield. The number of playable characters means that there’s something for everyone. I thought it looked fun, so I was excited to hear it was going to have an open beta which would give me the chance to check it out before its actual release. The basic plot is that

Chronicles of Teddy: Harmony of Exodus | Review

Posted on April 19, 2016 by Jason Nason

I really didn’t know what to expect when I downloaded Chronicles of Teddy: Harmony of Exodus on my Wii U. I had a basic understanding of the story from some pregame coverage, but didn’t know much aside from the nice pixel look of the game. What I got was a beautiful and challenging game. This game is deeply engaging. Right off the bat I as blown away by the visuals in the game. This game has stunning and beautiful pixel art, with the whole thing looking and feeling like a modern game with pre-rendered or CG backgrounds, only they’re not.

The game, Dan McFox: Head Hunter, will hit eShops in Europe on Thursday, April 21st with the North American release date still not determined. It’s a budget title (£1.99 / €2.49) which we plucked from our back-catalogue of mobile phone games and remixed in some interesting ways for 3DS. Dan McFox: Head Hunter is inspired by the kids’ board game Guess Who and is a remix from Lightwood Games’ back-catelogue of mobile games. The game sees you racing to pick out the

This Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’s Gerudo Valley UE4 Recreation Is A Thing of Beauty

Posted on April 18, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is one of my favorite games of all time – I have many fond memories playing the game as a child. To see those childhood memories transformed into a series of absolutely breathtaking HD demos constructed in Unreal Engine 4 is an absolute treat for any Zelda fan and thanks to one creator, they are real! Creator CryZENx used the maps from the 3DS enhanced port of Ocarina of Time as a reference and re-made the map from scratch in UE4. Looking at the lighting effects and texture work done in this recreation shows the potential for

ITS: Into The Stars

Posted on April 18, 2016 by Kyle Scarboro

Word around the information super highway is that this little game, aptly named Into the Stars, is a hybrid of Star Trek Commander and FTL: Faster Than Light, but is it really? The people have spoken and the people are generally right. Into the Stars is filling the void of the lack of spaceship commander based games that are out there. With inspiration gathered from these games and mixing it with a collection of modern ideas and stunning graphics, Into the Stars is paving the way and breaking ground on a genre that has not been explored to its full
