The Mean Greens – Why You Should Enlist In This Early Access Shooter

Posted on May 1, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

Developers Virtual Basement bring the childhood pastime of backyard warfare with plastic army men into the modern era with their Unreal 4 engine powered team death match shooter The Mean Greens.  This is certainly territory that has been covered by 3DO’s now defunct Army Men franchise on previous generation consoles, but no other title has made watching your plastic figure melting into a pile of goo like The Mean Greens has achieved.

$30 For A Re-master of a 8 Year Old Game? COD4 On PS4 Might As Well Be The ‘Fuck You Edition’

Posted on April 30, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

With the reveal of the first teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, rumors abound for months about the game’s premise and a leak of the game’s marketing materials last night we know a lot about the game. Yet, perhaps the one thing that everyone is overlooking is how an overpriced re-master of an 8 year old game really is. Don’t get me wrong, I played a whole ton of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in my college days back in ’07. I spent late nights with friends, huddled around the television cheering as we passed the controller between

Call of Duty Infinite Warfare Teaser Trailer Now Live

Posted on April 30, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

The next entry in Activision’s popular FPS series is getting teased on their official channel thanks to the new teaser trailer titled “Know Your Enemy”. The end of the trailer mentions a “settlement defense force”, perhaps the rumors about this game being full of far-future space combat will be true. I also happened to pause the trailer at just the right moment and well – hey it’s ghost’s mask, which has been reoccurring in infinity war’s COD games. [youtube id=”gaDJX0Ttsfc”]

Uncharted 4 Teases The Return of a Former Sony Mascot

Posted on April 30, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

Naughty Dog is well known for their work on last generations huge PlayStation exclusive franchises Uncharted and The Last of Us, but before they took on the task of redefining third person combat the studio was well known for a PlayStation One exclusive staring a certain marsupial. Crash Bandicoot put both the PlayStation brand and Naughty Dog on the map back in the early 90s. With its fast 3D platforming action and an ‘tude only the mid 90s could produce, the series went on to produce three successful games on the original PlayStation before Sony’s exclusivity deal with Vivendi Universal

Not much info has been released about this game, but IGN has finally given us our first look, and holy wow, this game looks amazing. Hopefully its being demoed at E3 so i can get my hands on it, but untill then I will just have to salivate over trailers and other media.

Steam will now accept Bitcoins

Posted on April 29, 2016 by Fionna Schweit

Put this one in the category of “things that are about a year too late” Steam will start to accept Bitcoins in the form of BitPay for steam products. The market seems mainly aimed at international folks, but will no doubt also attract some of the rabid fans of the crypto-currency. Weather its for international or just crypto loving people, its a good move for Valve, who join an ever growing list of vendors online who accept the most popular crypto-currency Bitcoins. No doubt this will help grow Steams already impressive 125 million users from around the globe. BitPay wrote in a

LICHDOM: BATTLEMAGE PC REVIEW

Posted on April 29, 2016 by Kylie Trace

Lichdom: Battlemage is a fantasy first person shooter, developed by indie developers Xaviant. It came out in the summer of 2014 for PC, with ports for Xbox One and Playstation 4 recently. The game offers players a chance to play as a battlemage, a being capable of casting and crafting powerful magical spells in the heat of combat. Lichdom introduces you to a beautiful world powered by CryEngine3 that will leave you awestruck at the amazing scenery and spell effects. There’s also a very deep spell crafting system, based off of 8 elemental sigils (fire, ice, necromancy, etc) which can

GameWisp stream tools aims to bring a sub button to the masses

Posted on April 28, 2016 by Fionna Schweit

GameWisp is a new product designed for streamers who are not partners on Twitch to be able to get themselves the same type of benefits that partners get. The main benefit they provide is a sub button just like the partnered Twitch streamers have.  CTO Eli Hooten was kind enough to take a few moment from his busy PAX schedule to tell us what GameWisp is all about.   Though I have not been able to try GameWisp out yet myself, it seems like it fills a much needed niche in the industry for smaller non-partnered streamers who usually have to
