The sacred Steam summer sale will return June 23 and run until July 4, at least that’s what reddit is tell us. In a leak that appears to originate from Russia and even says Confidential right on the image.  Hit the read more tag to see the image, but the gist of it is simple, the whole thing is just a time, its half in Russian and half in English (something many people have been quick to point out makes this look fake) and it says that the sale will be from 23rd June till 4th July. Take all of this

Posted on May 15, 2016 by Jason Nason

In February this year, Shigeru Miyamoto said because Nintendo sees itself as an “entertainment” company, he was not opposed to the idea of bringing Nintendo franchises to the big screen. Now an interview with Nintendo CEO Tatsumi Kimishima reportedly has shed some light that the company plans to release a new movie in the next 2-3 years. In an interview with Japan’s Asahi Shimbun, as translated by Kyle McLain on Twitter, Kimishima reportedly offered some new details on Nintendo’s movie plans.

Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson | Review

Posted on May 15, 2016 by Jason Nason

Let’s be honest. It was the girls that first drew me to this game. Just like other video games where “giggle physics” has become a thing, I liked the look of the girls in the game. What can I say. But beyond the look of the girls themselves, Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson is a fun game to play. Parallel to the look of the girls in the game is the fact that the game has a look and feel of anime. I’ve long enjoyed anime and the culture of Japan itself. I’m a regular watcher of anime on Crunchyroll

Posted on May 15, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

The 1990s were a magical time when Jolt Cola was still readily available, Bill Clinton was President, SEGA & Sonic the Hedgehog rivaled Nintendo & Mario in popularity and you could totally get away with wearing a beanie to work!  Prepare yourselves for possibly one of the most 90s videos you’ve ever seen courtesy of the 1996 SEGA USA Testing Department – “The SEGA TEST”. Early ‘96 was an odd time for the folks at SEGA USA – SEGA was coming off a particular strong ’94 where they had outsold the SNES in North America, the begging of ’96 was

Posted on May 14, 2016 by Fionna Schweit

In an announcement on their main blog page Microsoft has announced that Project Spark will shut down. What is project spark you ask? Well your asking and that is probably one of the big reasons Microsoft has decided to shut it down. Project Spark was the little know about user friendly 3D game development tool released by Microsoft for the Xbox platform back in 2014. Its basic premise was that you could use a set of tools to design games on your Xbox 360 and Xbox one with out having to do hardly any back end coding. It launced in

Early DOOM Campaign Impressions: “Absolutely Brutal”

Posted on May 13, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

Doom
I’ve been following id Software’s revival of the granddaddy of First Person Shooters, DOOM, since it was announced over two years ago. After the rather bland looking E3 campaign demos from last year, there was relative silence about the single player content right up until a few weeks before the game’s release. After spending 3 hours with the single-player mode into the wee hours of the morning I’ve got some initial impressions to share.

WHOA! The New DOOM Looks Incredible!

Posted on May 13, 2016 by Les Major

DOOM Intro
Over the past few weeks we’ve heard lots of complaints about the new DOOM, of course based on multiplayer. Fans have felt let down that it didn’t seem like DOOM. The recent launch trailer was a nice touch and gave rise to gamer curiosity. What were we missing here? There was suddenly all this story and much more content than had really been released. We’d seen some PR, but nothing that
