25 Years Later The SNES Mouse Is Being Re-Released

Posted on June 29, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

Some of you reading this might remember the SNES paint program Mario Paint and the Super Nintendo styled mouse that came packed with the cartridge. Twenty-five years after the peripherals’ initial release for Ninty’s fourth generation console, it is seeing a resurgence thanks to a Nintendo partner – hardware manufacturer Hyperkin. I can’t seem to find which company manufactured the 1990s original version of the SNES mouse so perhaps Nintendo produced it themselves. Hyperkin’s re-release of the pointing device adopts the same grey color scheme, small physical size and twin purple buttons that made the OG mouse so unique. One

Destiny 2 Won’t Feature Recoil On PC Because It Won’t ‘Feel Good’

Posted on June 22, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

Gunplay and the overall feel of the variety of weapons in the original Destiny was one of the highlights of an addictive if otherwise flawed title. Perhaps then it is a little perplexing that Destiny 2 PC Project Lead, Mark Noseworthy, spoke with Finder.com.au about the joint decision between Bungie and Vicarious Vision to remove recoil from the upcoming PC port of Destiny 2.  His reasoning included that aiming a weapon with recoil just wouldn’t feel right if the player’s mouse was moving without physical input. Here’s the full quote from Noseworthy: “Yeah, we’ve thought about that quite a bit.

Posted on June 21, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

SEGA has announced the rumored SEGA Forever, a mobile-centric collection of classic titles spanning over 20 years of releases and three console generations.  With 5 SEGA exclusive Genesis titles available at launch – Sonic The Hedgehog, Comix Zone, Phantasy Star II, Altered Beast and Kid Chameleon – there’s quite a few different genres represented. SEGA Forever games support features like cloud saves, Bluetooth controllers, save states and offline play regardless of the player’s advertising status. Spider-Man Does Whatever A Spider Can In First PS4 Footage

Posted on June 13, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

It has been awfully quiet on the Spider-Man front as of late. Oh sure, there is a huge co-produced Marvel & Sony Pictures film coming out next month but I meant in terms of Insomniac’s web-slinging simulator announced at E3 2016. A year later and Sony closed their press conference last night with an [X] demo, surely they were hoping to wow the crowd by recreating Spider-Man’s signature moves in video game form. The demo picks up with Spidey taking on a series of henchmen on the inside of an unfinished skyscraper. Spidey dodges, leaps and performs acrobatics exactly like

MMORPG Black Desert Online Coming To Xbox One

Posted on June 11, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

As an MMORPG Black Desert Online is known for being drop dead gorgeous and if you have a PC with high enough specs to run the game on ultra settings, you’re in for a treat. Microsoft announced at their E3 press conference that the game will be coming to Xbox One later this year and will be enhanced by the power of Xbox One X (formally “Project Scorpio”). Here is how the game’s Steam Page describes the game, which I feel gives a good rundown of how Black Desert Online differs from other Buy To Play MMORPGs. Also the PC

New Kingdom Hearts III Trailer Still Lacks Release Date

Posted on June 11, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

Square Enix released a brand new trailer for Kingdom Hearts III almost a full four years after it was originally revealed at E3 2013. My original headline about the game’s announcement so many years ago told readers that “no you’re not dreaming, Kingdom Hearts 3 has been announced” and now this latest trailer opens with “Don’t assume your dreams are just fantasy” – for the entire series fan base and enthusiast press playing KH III has been relegated to the realm of dream or fantasy since the title has yet to appear at a major industry convention or conference in

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age Story Trailer Released

Posted on June 8, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

A brand new Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age trailer has been released ahead of E3 2017. This trailer focuses on some of the major story beats as well as a footage from the introduction cinematic (which still looks drop dead gorgeous after all of these years). Don’t worry about major spoilers as these story moments are shown out of sequence and without any context. Regardless if you’ve played the original XII or not, one thing is clear: The Zodiac Age is one beautiful remaster. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will be released on PS4 and PS4 Pro on

It is this with this passion in mind that we’ve teamed up with vrgamecritic.com to help aggregate our eventual expanded VR related content to new readers. Vrgamecritic.com is a reviews aggregate that functions like Metacritic and other similar services – combining multiple reviews from multiple outlets to bring about an aggregated score for a given title. Only their focus is strictly within the

Posted on June 1, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

Square Enix
Square Enix – the publisher who most recently rebooted their reboot of a 20 year RPG classic – has announced that they will be partnering with People Can Fly for an unnamed ‘high-end original title’ for console and PC. Whatever form this new project takes, it will not be featured during Square Enix’s 2017 E3 showcase and will not be at the show in any facet. Destiny 2 had its big reveal at a media event in Los Angeles yesterday with a live streamed keynote presentation that included brand new details for the game, our first look at the game’s single player mission and a few small teases at what to expect from what will surely be one of this Falls’ most anticipated first person shooters.
