Atlus has released a whole series of screenshots from the North American version of their upcoming strategy RPG game Gungnir. Gameplay is divided between two different phases, event scenes and strategy battles using the traditional Strat-RPG formula similar to other titles in the genres. In between these two phases players have the ability to buy new weapons and armor to upgrade their party. Interestingly the game also includes a special “easy mode” for new players to the genre. It is nice to see Atlus include mechanics for players who might pick up Gungnir without being entirely in the know. Check

PAYDAY: The Heist and Left 4 Dead Collaboration Announced

Posted on May 21, 2012 by Daniel Shannon

PAYDAY is basically L4D where the protagonists are a bunch of criminals rather than survivors, and the zombies have been replaced by policemen. The distinctions between the two may blend even further after the announcement of a “co-operative” initiative between PAYDAY and Left 4 Dead.
