GRID 2 Teased for Aug 8th Reveal

Posted on August 5, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

It looks like Codemasters will be announcing their next title, Grid 2, in just a couple of days time. On their official twitter page they teased an upcoming announcement this Wednesday followed by the brief teaser trailer I’ve embedded below. if you like seeing pre-rendered tires squeal against digital pavement this you’ll love this trailer! The original Race Driver: Grid is perhaps one of my favorite racing games of this generation. The handling was suburb and the ability to rewind time and fix mistakes was novel for 2008, when the game released. Let’s not also forget the presentation, from sleek

Medal Of Honor: Warfighter And Linkin Park Team Up

Posted on August 4, 2012 by Seung Lee

MoH
Okay, so maybe it’s not exactly Linkin Park, but Mike Shinoda, the man behind the popular band (and Fort Minor, a hip-hop side project), is composing the music for Electronic Arts’s upcoming game, Medal of Honor: Warfighter. This isn’t the first time that Shinoda has composed for others, however. He was behind The Raid: Redemption‘s soundtrack, which wasn’t too bad, if I do say so myself. EA’s main competitior, Activision, has called on Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails to compose Call of Duty: Black Ops II‘s theme song, and he wrote the tracks for the films, The Girl with

Black Ops II
It’s that time of the year again. We’re talking about the thing that many people end up buying Call of Duty games for: multiplayer. The official Call of Duty Twitter account has tweeted that Treyarch’s new futuristic shooter, Black Ops II, will finally reveal some gameplay footage of its multiplayer, on August 7. Expect a ton of speculation on the upcoming teaser, and plenty of hate comments from hardcore Battlefield fans. Call of Duty: Black Ops II is set to release on November 13, 2012, for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. For more info, visit the Call of Duty

SEGA isn’t letting SackBoy be the only one the asphalt with the announcement of Sonic All Stars Racing: Transformed Bonus Edition. Blockbuster Cast Announced For 007 Legends

Posted on July 27, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Activations next James Bond title, 007 Legends, looks to  be bringing its A game with the announcement of a celebrity roster of contributors. Naturally you’ve got Daniel Craig reprising his role as 007, James Bond. Joining him are Michael Lonsdale as Hugo Drax and Richard Kiel as the steel teethed Jaws. To top the whole thing off the game’s narrative is being written by veteran bond scribe Richard Kiel who penned The World is Not Enough, Die Another Day and GoldenEye. 007 Legends certainly has enough talent behind it to make it stand out from some of the other bond

Ubisoft Announces GamesCom Lineup

Posted on July 25, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Ubisoft has a pretty big stable of highly anticipated games coming to Germany’s Gamescom next month. I’m pretty sure everyone expected Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed Liberation to be there in full form but how about a chance to check out ZombieU, their much talked about survival horror game from this June’s E3? On top of the playable demos for the above games Ubisoft will also be hosting a press conference on August 15th at 3PM where they promise to announce at least one new free to play game. Check out the full list of games set to be

Hyper Dimension Neptunia MK 2 Heads To PSN This August

Posted on July 23, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

NIS America’s follow up to last years quirky console war inspired Hyper Dimension Neptunia, Mk2, is scheduled for release onto the PlayStation network on August 7th in North America and August 8th in Europe. The original Hyper Dimension Neptunia is one of my favorite RPGS from this console generation. MK2 improves on the original by including a brand new combo and improved battle system. The Neptunia franchise is just as much about geek-culture humor and Anime stereotypes as it is a stats driven RPG, designed to fill a specific niche. If you grew up playing the N64, or even something

Meet the Mechromancer In Borderlands 2

Posted on July 23, 2012 by Seung Lee

Mechromancer
The fine folks over at Gearbox Software have been diligently working on Borderlands 2, one of the most anticipated games of the year (for me anyway). Thanks to their hard work, Borderlands 2 has just gone into certification for release. Now, while the on-disc content may be finished, that doesn’t mean that the downloadable content isn’t. The Mechromancer class is just one of the many pieces of extra content that players can expect in the future. I know what you might be thinking right now: “Why are the developers already thinking about DLC? Why can’t they just include this stuff on

Is Final Fantasy Versus XIII Done For?

Posted on July 20, 2012 by Jason Bassett

Remember that game that was announced back in 2006 that was part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis series? Well, it appears that Square Enix has canned the game. While this is just speculation as of now, it appears Square Enix has secretly cancelled the game to so that they’re stock prices would not go down. Final Fantasy Versus XIII has been under a lot of scrutiny for it’s long time in development, lack of updates, and non shows at gaming events like E3 and the Tokyo Game Show. As of now, it is also being reported that Final Fantasy XV will

Posted on July 19, 2012 by Daniel Shannon

Harmonix has announced the release dates for Rock Band Blitz (or as we like to call it, because it uses a controller rather than instrument peripherals, Frequency 3/Amplitude 2). It arrives on the PlayStation Network on the 28th of August and will retail for $14.99. Blitz will roll onto Xbox Live Arcade on the next day and retail for 1200 Microsoft Points. Rock Band Blitz is apparently compatible with thousands of songs in the Rock Band Music store and all of Blitz’s songs will work with Rock Band 3, which is promising if you are a fan of the Rock
