Posted on August 13, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Kazunori Yamauchi the producer behind Sony’s flagship racing title, Gran Turismo, made an appearance during the 2012 Gran Turismo Academy, a 2,000+ player tournament for his latest racer. During his time at the event he was asked about the lack of DLC for GT5 and whether or not GT6 would be announced any time soon. He acknowledged that GT6 is under development but hesitated to provide a release date or any additional details because he fears that if he misses his projections fans will feel that the project has been delayed. Gran Turismo 5 was announced at E3 2005 alongside

Annual football franchise, Madden, will once again consume the souls of the NFL faithful with the release of the Madden 13 demo on Xbox Live tomorrow. This brief taste of EA’s latest pig skin simulate features a matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the Washington Redskins. You can also play as the San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants, if you’d rather recreate last season’s super bowl match. Madden 13 will be released by EA on August 28th for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PS Vita. Sorry PSP/PS2 owners, no “previous generation” iteration this year!

Warning: You May Be Flustered By This Dead Or Alive 5 Trailer

Posted on August 9, 2012 by Seung Lee

I won’t say what exactly you’ll be taken back by, because there’s actually quite a few things in this trailer for Dead or Alive 5 that caught me by surprise. I will say, however, that there’s rap, giant breasts (as to be expected of a Dead or Alive game), and an actual semblance of a plot. Dead or Alive 5 is set to release for the PlayStation 3 on September 25th in the states, 27th in Japan, and on the 28th in Europe. American and Japanese Xbox 360 owners can also expect the game to release on the same dates as the

Namco Bandai And Sega Team Up For.. Drumming In Yakuza 5?

Posted on August 8, 2012 by Seung Lee

The Yakuza games have always had a plethora of minigames to lure players away from their main objectives, and it looks like that’ll also be the case in the fifth main installment of the series. Now, I haven’t played all of the Yakuza games, but I do remember there being a rhythm game of sorts in 3. There’s no info yet on what exactly all of the minigames will be in Yakuza 5, but we now know that one of them will be a joint collaboration between Namco Bandai Games and Sega. Andriasang managed to get a hold of this

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale PaRappa the Rapper Video

Posted on August 8, 2012 by Broken Joysticks

With the public beta for SuperBot Entertainment’s PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale almost upon us, the PlayStation blog has unveiled a video that shows off some neat tricks for a fan favorite from the original PS era, PaRappa the Rapper. His playstyle draws from his love of music, skateboarding abilities, and rapid kung-fu moves. PaRappa’s impressive mobility makes it easy for him to get in close and wail on his opponent(s). This is great because he’s primarily a close range fighter. One of our paper-thin friend’s specials has him dropping a boombox (Boxxy Boy from the two games) and generates AP. This move, however, can

Skyrim’s 1.7 Patch Is Finally Coming To Consoles This Week

Posted on August 8, 2012 by Seung Lee

It’s August 8 as I write this article. Why is this little fact important? Well, the latest title update for Bethesda’s Skyrim is version 1.7, and it’s going to be hitting the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 tomorrow. Specifically, 360 Skyrim players from all across the world can expect the patch tomorrow. For the PS3 version, the patch will only be hitting the states on the 9th. The European version of 1.7 will be out the following week. What exactly does 1.7 do? That’s a good question; it fixes a number of glitches such as general memory and stability optimizations.

Call of Duty Black Ops II Multiplayer Reveal Trailer

Posted on August 7, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

There is so much to dissect from the latest Call of Duty: Black Ops I trailer it’s insane. In just two minutes and seventeen seconds Activision shows us several weapons and tools of destructions. If you’re a fan of unmanned vehicles and gunships, there are tons of those. There are even a few up close and personal options I can’t wait to try like the stun-gun like proximity grenade shown at the begining of the trailer or the throwing knives shown at the end. We’ll hopefully be able to dissect the entire trailer later on in the day. Until then

Here’s Some New Details About Scourge: Outbreak

Posted on August 6, 2012 by Seung Lee

ScourgeOutbreak
If you don’t know what exactly Scourge: Outbreak is, I don’t blame you. I had no clue that it existed until I read an article about it. Scourge: Outbreak is a third-person shooter from a development team called Tragnarion Studios, and it’s being released on the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and Mac. The release date for it hasn’t been announced yet, but lead game designer Omar Salleh has unveiled some new screenshots and details on co-op today. Salleh’s blog post at the European PlayStation blog site revealed that his team’s upcoming game should be out in the next few months.

That’s A Lot Of Levels For LittleBigPlanet

Posted on August 6, 2012 by Seung Lee

LBP
Media Molecule, the team behind LittleBigPlanet, has revealed today that seven million levels (and still going strong!) have been created across all of the games for the franchise. It hasn’t been too long since the very first LBP was released on the PS3 in ’08. Now, I’m not going to say each of these seven million levels are amazing, or worth your time to play, but you can’t say that you’re not getting bang for your buck with a LBP game. Check out Media Molecule’s blog post celebrating the recent accomplishment here, and see the picture detailing it here.

Metal Gear Solid 4 Trophy Patch Now Online

Posted on August 6, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

There’s now a new reason for you to revisit Metal Gear Solid 4, well ok, 19 reasons to re-play Kojima’s PS3 classic with the announcement of Trophy Support. The patch actually went live on August 3rd, so we dropped the ball a bit here, but hey – late is better than never right? Sony’s official PlayStation Blog has the rundown on all of the trophies Konami has included. They’re a bit on the strange side, as is to be expected. You won’t be increasing your trophy rank by just completing the various acts of MG4. Instead, you’ll have to make
