A DmC Demo Is Coming, And Mundus Is Back

Posted on October 14, 2012 by Seung Lee

Great news for the few people that are actually excited for Ninja Theory’s DmC. Earlier at New York Comic Con, Capcom announced that the game will have a demo on the PS3 and Xbox 360, sometime before its actual release date. There was no word on a PC demo, though. In addition, Mundus has been confirmed to be returning in DmC. If you’ve ever played the first Devil May Cry, you’ll remember that Mundus was the Demon King and big bad, which Dante had to defeat. It’s probably safe to say that Mundus will also be the main villain in

EA/Bioware Launches Mass Effect 3 Portal N7 HQ

Posted on October 12, 2012 by Joshua Rust

So, what exactly is this Mass Effect 3 Portal N7 HQ? Think of Battlefield’s Battlelog, only less Battlefield and more Mass Effect!   You can find the newly launched N7 HQ website by clicking here.  This portal will track all of your hours played, matches played, challenges completed, etc, etc. Also you can check where you are ranked on the leaderboards. As well as checking up on your friends (or enemies) and see where they stack up too! Not to mention to see how they are leveling up their characters! It seems that EA/Bioware has gone all out for Mass

Kicking off New York Comic Con with a scare, Capcom announced plans to release a collection of titles from their monster button masher Darkstalkers series for digital release in early 2013, and continued to fan the flames of a full on sequel. Darkstalkers Resurrection will bundle the series second game Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge along with the beloved Darkstalkers 3 together in one digital bundle. The collection is being handled by Iron Galaxy and will come with the same filters, GGPO online play and dynamic challenges that were seen in their ports of Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition and more recently in Marvel vs.

Red Sand: A Mass Effect Fan Film

Posted on October 11, 2012 by Jason Bassett

Do you like Mass Effect? Do you like movies? Do you like fan-made movies? If you said yes to all of these, then you should check out Red Sand: A Mass Effect Fan Film. The students of the University of Advancing Technology led by instructor Paul DeNigris created and filmed a 15 minute story with guest star Mark Meer (voice of Commander Shepard). Red Sand takes place before the original Mass Effect where a discovery is made on Mars about a powerful and unknown technology known as Element Zero that is described as a power that goes beyond human imagination. Borderlands 2 – Captain Scarlett & Her Pirate’s Booty Coming Next Week

Posted on October 11, 2012 by Joshua Rust

It seems like only yesterday that we started talking about the potential upcoming dlc for Borderlands 2…wait, that was yesterday! Confirmed today by Gearbox and Randy Pitchford, Borderlands 2 – Captain Scarlett & Her Pirate’s Booty will be launching on marketplaces next week! I’m a bit amazed as to how quick Gearbox is releasing this new dlc so close to the games’ launch – but I won’t complain as I’m completely in love with Borderlands 2. I’ve got a few new images for the dlc that you can check out after the jump.

Expect tons of new info on just about everything that the game’ll have to offer. To see McNamara’s tweet, go here. To check out GTA V‘s official site, go here.

First Borderlands 2 DLC Leaked?

Posted on October 10, 2012 by Joshua Rust

Borderlands 2
UPDATE: I’ve found some screenshots to go along with this story as well (after the jump). According to some PC tech savvy people and the trophy list over at PS3trophies.com the first (presumably) dlc for Borderlands 2 will revolve around a new area called Oasis. It will also, again presumably, be called “Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty.” Not really sure what the pirate trend is all about this year, but anything Borderlands 2 makes me all for it! Continue reading after the jump for more details!

But that all ends today as a Limited Edition has been announced for Army 0f Two: The Devil’s Cartel. No, this Limited Edition doesn’t cost any extra…all you have to do is go pre-order it – which is a win for all! Sony Holiday Showcase: AC III Naval Combat Impressions

Posted on October 10, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

AC III’s demo opened with Connor decked out in traditional naval wear navigating the high seas on a clear sunny afternoon. When we first put our hands on the wheel it really felt like we set to navigate the high seas, seagulls flew overhead and the clouds parted allowing the sun to shine. Little did we know we were in for a harsh ride as we navigated the choppy sea tracking down enemy ships. Trailing these ships from behind we eventually caught up to our various targets, and that is where the real fun began. The seas became rough and

Sony Holiday Showcase: Our Brief Time With DMC Devil May Cry

Posted on October 10, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Ninja Thoery’s take on DMC has been quite polarizing given Capcom’s decision to reboot the franchise. After playing through a full tutorial and boss fight I can say with certainty that Dante’s form may have changed but he is bringing all of the style and sass you expect. The one thing I really took away from our time with the game was the impression that Ninja theory has nailed the core gameplay while making minor adjustments. If you’re worried that Dante’s classic maneuvers like juggling enemies and pulling off fancy moves are missing or some how altered, I can tell you they are all accounted for. This becomes really apparent with the gun play. Whether we

Angry Birds Star Wars Games Announced

Posted on October 9, 2012 by Joshua Rust

It was bound to happen sooner or later. A franchise that knows no bounds, Angry Birds, is expanding its force by teaming up with Star Wars for a crossover. While it has been given a November 8th release date, the platforms aren’t all confirmed at the moment. But we will update you when we know. [youtube id=”lyB6G4Cz9fI” width=”600″ height=”350″] CMO of Rovio, Peter Vesterbacka, had this to say about the crossover: This is the best Angry Birds game we’ve ever done. It’s the best parts of Angry Birds with all new cutting-edge gameplay set in in a galaxy far, far away.

Echo Logs From Gaige, the Mechromancer (Plus Skill Tree Unveiled)

Posted on October 8, 2012 by Joshua Rust

Gaige the Mechromancer, the upcoming fifth class in Borderlands 2, has decided to tease us with a couple of Echo logs. From the sound of it, she could be just as crazy as Tiny Tina. Wait, check that, I don’t think anyone is as crazy (and adorable) as Tiny Tina. [youtube id=”Ijs-FEk3OIk” width=”600″ height=”350″] [youtube id=”9zNk8kM2Qj0″ width=”600″ height=”350″] As for the skill tree for Gaige, Gearbox has unveiled it over at the official Borderlands 2website. You can find it by clicking here. You may have to enter the age gate first. If so, enter that in and come back and

MW2’s Favela Is Being Benched, Possibly Forever

Posted on October 8, 2012 by Seung Lee

If you’ve ever played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, then you’ll probably remember playing on Favela, a map based on the Brazilian shanty towns. But, if you hop on MW2 right now, you’ll notice that it’s no longer in the map rotation for any of the game modes. That’s because some upset Muslims have banded together to demand Infinity Ward and Activision, the companies behind MW2, to remove the map from the rotation. It’s a shame because Favela was one of my favorite maps on the game, but instigating heated arguments here isn’t in my interest. Would it kill

We are just a few short days away from the launch of XCOM: Enemy Unknown. What I’ll be interested to see about this game is how it stacks up in comparison to come of the older games in the franchise…and I do mean older games. If you have Steam, you can download the demo incase you are skeptical about this game. While we wait for the games release, check out the launch trailer! [youtube id=”kJLFNYhq1YM” width=”600″ height=”350″] XCOM: Enemy Unknown launches October 9th in the U.S. for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC!
