GTA V Trailer 2 Analysis Video

Posted on December 11, 2012 by Jesse Lord

Let’s talk a bit about a little video game franchise you guys may have heard about. For those that might not know, my love for all things Grand Theft Auto runs quite deep.  I helped to start GTA Hood, the IGN Grand Theft Auto portal site, and worked there from the beginning until IGN decided to shut all portal sites down earlier this year.  I’ve had the chance to visit Rockstar Games on three different occasions as a result of working with the site, to preview their upcoming games (EfLC expansion/Red Dead Redemption, L. A. Noire and Max Payne 3),

Posted on December 10, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Two more games have been added to PlayStation Plus in North America. Sony announced that both Super Street Fighter IV and Rochard will be available later today on the PSN Store. Sure SSFIV doesn’t have all of the upgrades that Arcade Edition brought last summer, including the playable Evil Ryu, but it’s a pretty good for free. If you haven’t had a chance to check out one of the fighters that started Capcom’s resurgence then this is your chance! Super Street Fighter IV and Rochard join the original Bioshock as December’s PSN+ free offerings. Plus is currently available for $14.99

Last of Us Release Date & New Trailer

Posted on December 9, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

The Last of Us wowed everyone with its surprise reveal at the 2011 Spike Videogame Awards. Since that reveal Naughty Dog was been awfully quiet about their plans for the title, outside of a brief 10 minute demo first shown to the press at E3 and then released to the general public earlier this fall. The good news for everyone wanting to experience the post apoclyptic tale of Joel & Elle is that they’ll be able to get their hands on the game on May 7th 2013. This new trailer certainly sets the apocalyptic mood right off the hop with

Bioshock Infinite Facing Further Delays, Out March 26th

Posted on December 8, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

The wait for irrational games’ follow up to 2007’s Bioshock, Bioshock Infinite, gets even harder with the announcement that the game is being delayed by a few weeks to make room for minor improvements and bug fixes. According to Ken Levine, creator of the Bioshock Franchise, the game will drop on March 26th. The team needed time to fix some minor annoyances and that recent addition, Rod Ferguson, convinced him that the entire team would benefit from additional development time. He admits that the press might beat up on 2K and Irrational for this decision but they believe it was

Square Enix Teases “New Title” – Possible Star Ocean?

Posted on December 8, 2012 by Joshua Rust

Is a new Star Ocean title in the works from Square Enix? Well, it’s possible. A new teaser site has popped up over on the Square Enix site with words “Star”, “Border War”, and “Divide” on the page. There is a countdown clock that sets the reveal date for next Tuesday, December 11, at 10 p.m. EST. Currently there has only been one Star Ocean game that has hit this generation of consoles that received mixed responses from the gaming community – weighing in at 72/100 over on Metacritic. Personally, I think it was a pretty solid game. Nothing that

AC3 Returns With “The Tyranny of King Washington”

Posted on December 7, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

We all knew that Ubisoft wasn’t done with the Assassin’s Creed III era of their popular Templars vs assassins franchise. The next DLC adventure  in the series was unveiled at the Spike Video Game Awards 10. Titled AC III: The Tyranny of King Washington, this add-on focuses on an alternate time line where George Washington wasn’t a revered hero but an iron fisted monarch. No platforms were announced in the reveal trailer but presumably it will be released on Xbox 360, PS3, PC just like this fall’s ACIII. What do you think of Ubisoft taking the series into an alternate time-line using

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Achievements Revealed

Posted on December 7, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Metal Gear Rising
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance got a whole slew of updates over the last 24 hours. Konami released the full achievement list for the game over at Xbox 360 achievements. If you’re going to be slicing and dicing along Raiden then you’ll want to know when you hear that sweet “unlock sound effect” right? There is your fair share of achievements that everyone who plays through the game will unlock, like an achievement for beating each chapter (called files). The harder achievements like beating each of the game’s files with an S rank on the hardest difficulty will of course be

Eurocom Enters Administration, Lays Off Staff

Posted on December 7, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

This past fall’s 007 Legends wasn’t particularly well received by critics, including us. It looks like the developers behind the game, Eurocom have closed their doors for good as they enter “administration”, as reported by Eurogamer. A company in the U.K entering administration is similar to one filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy here in North America, they have effectively laid-off their entire 150 person workforce. Prior to working on 007 Legends Eurocom released the well received James Bond title, GoldenEye Reloaded, on the Nintendo Wii and then Ps3/Xbox 360 one year later. Other notable projects over their 25 year history

Posted on December 6, 2012 by Joshua Rust

If you’re all like me and have been playing the Skylanders games with your children, you’re always on the lookout for when the next characters are releasing.  I don’t know about other regions, but the Skylanders Giants figures seem to be staying in stock pretty well – I mean, Activision & Toys For Bob can’t really make any money of scalpers right? So today it was announced that you can now pre-order Hot Dog through Gamestop.com! I’m sure you could also pre-order this in store as well. Hot Dog will be available January 1st, 2013 (assuming the world doesn’t end

Bethesda just sent over this fantastic new trailer for the first bit of DLC for Dishonored, called Dunwall City Trials.  Check it out below! [youtube id=”mEqwAd1o_8k” width=”600″ height=”338″] This DLC comes out on December 11th, this coming Tuesday, and will cost you $4.99 on PC and PS3, and 400 MS Points on Xbox 360. Also, I just got a nice Holiday card in the mail from our friends at Bethesda, so I wanted to take the time to say thanks for that!  Here’s what they sent – it’s a very stealthy Christmas, apparently:

Posted on December 5, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Phantasy Star Online 2 isn’t even out in North America yet but that hasn’t stopped an entire community of avid players from either figuring out how to sign up the Japanese version or posting on forums about the game. PSO2 will see a release on Sony’s Ps Vita sometime early next year in Japan and right now beta sign ups are available for the portable version. I’m sure by the time this article is published thousands of English speaking gamers will be flooding the servers with their vitas. In order to sign up for the Japanese Beta you will need a PS
