SEGA Bans Foreign PSO 2 Players With Latest Patch

Posted on August 8, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Sad news for anyone trying to connect to Phantasy Star Online 2, SEGA Japan has decided to limit access to the nation of Japan. That means that the 1000s of North American and European players, members of our staff included, are no longer able to access the game from this point forward. It looks like those of us outside of the land of the rising sun will have to wait until 2013 to get a taste of that sweet free to play Phantasy Star Online action. SEGA’s updated terms of service forbids users from connecting to the game using either

Call of Duty Black Ops II Multiplayer Reveal Trailer

Posted on August 7, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

There is so much to dissect from the latest Call of Duty: Black Ops I trailer it’s insane. In just two minutes and seventeen seconds Activision shows us several weapons and tools of destructions. If you’re a fan of unmanned vehicles and gunships, there are tons of those. There are even a few up close and personal options I can’t wait to try like the stun-gun like proximity grenade shown at the begining of the trailer or the throwing knives shown at the end. We’ll hopefully be able to dissect the entire trailer later on in the day. Until then

Here’s Some New Details About Scourge: Outbreak

Posted on August 6, 2012 by Seung Lee

ScourgeOutbreak
If you don’t know what exactly Scourge: Outbreak is, I don’t blame you. I had no clue that it existed until I read an article about it. Scourge: Outbreak is a third-person shooter from a development team called Tragnarion Studios, and it’s being released on the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and Mac. The release date for it hasn’t been announced yet, but lead game designer Omar Salleh has unveiled some new screenshots and details on co-op today. Salleh’s blog post at the European PlayStation blog site revealed that his team’s upcoming game should be out in the next few months.

Rise of the Triad Trailer & Details

Posted on August 6, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Rise of the Triad, a modern remake of a 1995 classic from Apogee Software, was revealed this past weekend at QuakeCon and attendees got the chance to frag the hell out of each other at the show. Now that the doors have closed in Dallas Texas media has been put online for the rest of us to enjoy. The game’s debut trailer give us a flyby view of a medieval castle  (forgive me if I got the time period wrong) that has been converted into a military prison of some sort. The rest of the trailer consists of guards being

GRID 2 Teased for Aug 8th Reveal

Posted on August 5, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

It looks like Codemasters will be announcing their next title, Grid 2, in just a couple of days time. On their official twitter page they teased an upcoming announcement this Wednesday followed by the brief teaser trailer I’ve embedded below. if you like seeing pre-rendered tires squeal against digital pavement this you’ll love this trailer! The original Race Driver: Grid is perhaps one of my favorite racing games of this generation. The handling was suburb and the ability to rewind time and fix mistakes was novel for 2008, when the game released. Let’s not also forget the presentation, from sleek

Doom 4 Resurfaces at Quakecon, Will Support VR Headset

Posted on August 5, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

id Software’s next title in their flagship FPS franchise, Doom IV, has seen its share of ups and downs despite never being officially unveiled. After last fall’s rumors of cancellation the game was mentioned during demonstrations of the John Carmack’s new VR headset (more on that coming soon). The grizzled UAC Space Marine will get another chance to fight demons from hell sometime in the future but id software isn’t exactly ready to show off the game just yet. They’ve merely confirmed that when the game ships “when it’s done” (Duke Nukem Forever, anyone?), it will support Carmack’s Oculus VR

Medal Of Honor: Warfighter And Linkin Park Team Up

Posted on August 4, 2012 by Seung Lee

MoH
Okay, so maybe it’s not exactly Linkin Park, but Mike Shinoda, the man behind the popular band (and Fort Minor, a hip-hop side project), is composing the music for Electronic Arts’s upcoming game, Medal of Honor: Warfighter. This isn’t the first time that Shinoda has composed for others, however. He was behind The Raid: Redemption‘s soundtrack, which wasn’t too bad, if I do say so myself. EA’s main competitior, Activision, has called on Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails to compose Call of Duty: Black Ops II‘s theme song, and he wrote the tracks for the films, The Girl with
