Released on August 15th, Team Fortress 2 now has a co-op mode allowing players to take on waves of robots! With at least one new map and new achievements, the added mode features robots based on the games classes. At the end of each wave you’ll be able to upgrade your character’s abilities and weapons. Team Fortress 2 is Valves hit classic that is now even free to play on Steam! Released in 2007 it still holds true to being a fan favourite. I’ve seen lots of cosplayers giving the different classes a go, lets see how many of the robotic versions

Celebrate The Olympics With NBA 2K13

Posted on August 15, 2012 by Seung Lee

It’s the 20th anniversary of the USA’s “Dream Team” for the Basketball event at the Olympics, and 2K Games is celebrating by including the 1992 and 2012 teams in NBA 2K13. Jay-Z, the executive producer behind 2K13, states that he made the decision to have these two crews in the game so that people could settle “one of the greatest sports debates of our time.” I’ve never heard people hype up the 2012 team, and probably for good reason. You just can’t compete against people like Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, and Scottie Pippen. Although, Pippen appears to be

The Next Command & Conquer Game Will Be Free To Play

Posted on August 15, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

The battle over ore and tiberium has raged on our computer screens for the past 17 years almost unabated. Even with the closure of original developer Westwood Studios in 2003 publisher Electronic Arts was able to bring the series back in true form with Command & Conquer 3 just four short years later. Can they re-invent the franchise once again after failing to resurrect the Generals sub-series? The shift from a “premium experience” (ie. full $60 disc based games) to an all digital, free to play platform has slowly engulfed some of the PCs biggest multiplayer titles . Following the

Grind To Infinity With Cladun X2 On Steam

Posted on August 14, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

NIS America’s latest digital release, Cladun X2, has found its way on to Steam. In Caldun you take on the role of wandering adventurer trapped in a world the size of pocket. Just because the landscape is small, doesn’t mean that Caldun doesn’t bring a full sized fun factor with three different type of dungeons, the ability to grind your character into infinity (literally) and much more. There’s probably no better way to spend the last dog days of summer than grinding away all day and night. Sure, that’s probably not plausible for the majority of us, but the charming

Dead Space 3 Scares Up Release Date and Trailer

Posted on August 14, 2012 by Jeff Wade

Gamescom brings a brand new trailer for the upcoming Dead Space 3 that looks to assuage fears that there won’t be any scares in the game with plenty of quick cuts to hulking monsters. This notes the first time that fears have been calmed by giant dismembered beasts swaying toward you in a predatory fashion. Dead Space 3 will hit the PC, PS3 and 360 on February 5 in the North America and February 8 in Europe. Addationally, it was announced that Dead Space 3 comes with the now requisite first run copy bonus with a limited edition that includes exclusive weapons and armor. [youtube id=”GNGGMexuIdg”

New Naval Warfare Trailer For Assassin’s Creed III Sets Sail

Posted on August 14, 2012 by Les Major

It seems like just yesterday I was expressing my excitement over AC3’s naval warfare and today we already have a new trailer for the seafaring combat! As Connor, you’ll lead your crew through rough waters and into battle against enemy ships. This interests me most of all being a fan of Skies of Arcadia which while AC3 isn’t an RPG, the naval combat tactics of coming alongside your enemy and releasing a barrage of cannon fire ring true. Playing out this kind of engagement sounds fantastic and set in the American Revolution AC3 is shaping up to be an amazing sequel. [youtube

Sleeping Dogs Won’t Be So Sleepy With Six Months Of DLC

Posted on August 13, 2012 by Seung Lee

It’s a recent business practice that I can’t stand: creating “new” content for purchase immediately after a game releases. Capcom has been guilty of doing this for a while (see Street Fighter x Tekken), and now Square-Enix is going to join in on the trend. Sleeping Dogs will have six months of planned DLC, which is already frustrating to hear. I can appreciate wanting to extend the lifespan of your game, but not when the DLC in question seems to consist of nothing but clothing packs and weapon packs. You can expect a number of downloads for Sleeping Dogs, such

Welcome to the island Chernarus, a 225 km² post-Soviet island state, a land that is one of the few living places that hasn’t been infected by the virus that turns its citizens into ferocious zombies. Struggling each day in order to survive in this new world, there are survivors. They are few left because the world’s population is almost all reanimated dead. On Chernarus basic supplies like water and food must be scavenged, and without a weapon you won’t be able to defend yourself  from the walking dead and each other.
