Max Payne 3 Gets Noir Filter, Modifiers, New Map in Free DLC Next Week

Posted on August 21, 2012 by Jeff Wade

More DLC for Max Payne 3 is rolling out, like a bad habit that you can’t quit and that won’t cost any of the equally flawed pennies that keep showing up. There’s no price better than free for the Disorganized Crime DLC pack, that packs in a host of modifiers for the game’s arcade mode like sardines that couldn’t be packed tighter if they were a 90s slang term for cool. Exploding Rounds, aggresive Lone Wolf A.I. and Headshot only modifiers will make a three legged pony show that changes the arcade mode experiance and a brand new noir filter will let you play

Rumor: Fallout 4 In Development, Set In Boston

Posted on August 21, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

The Fallout series might be taking another venture out to the east coast with the next installment in the revitalized Role-playing franchise. Reportedly the next installment which Bethesda Softworks is hard at work on will transport players to The Commonweath, also known as Boston Massachusetts. Members of Bethesda’s development staff have apparently been scoping out the MIT campus and the surrounding area, all the while working on the game. The connection to MIT is of particular interest, as IGN points out, because of “The Institute”, a future version of the school that is connected to a conflict involving deadly androids.

Watch Other People Play DOTA 2 Today

Posted on August 21, 2012 by Seung Lee

Anyone who uses Steam can now download and install a free app for DOTA 2 that allows for spectating other players. How does it work, you may ask? Well, you can watch a match from a player’s perspective, or from a directed view. You can check out any recent or live matches, along with all of the future matches at The International tournament. Is this app mandatory in order to continue playing DOTA 2? Nope, but it’ll be added into the game when it officially releases. I’m personally not a big fan of DOTA, but I know there’s a lot of

Dragon Age 3 To Add Co-op?

Posted on August 20, 2012 by Joshua Rust

First off, I want to clarify that this is clearly speculation and rumor at the current moment. But, if a recent social poll is to be believed it appears that the Dragon Age franchise could see co-op implemented into Dragon Age 3. While the poll doesn’t clarify that co-op will come to Dragon Age 3, it does give the option to vote for it as a potential feature. The potential plot for DA3 was given as well via NeoGaf: “The great nation of Orlais, the most powerful empire in Dragon Age, tears itself apart in civil war.” “The stout men and women of

Diablo 3 Patch To Add Paragon Leveling System

Posted on August 20, 2012 by Les Major

Blizzard has been eager to add reasons for players to keep enjoying Diablo 3 long after they’ve completed the main story line. The new paragon leveling system announced today seems to be a great addition. Originally reaching level 60 just left players in an item hunt with no where else to go with their characters. The paragon system adds 100 new levels that begin at level 60. A big issue for level 60 players has been finding magic gear to continue improving their character. Some players had Magic Find stat boosting sets of equipment they’d switch into before defeating enemies to raise their chances

GTA 5 Screens Have Planes and Automobiles, Trains Maybe Later

Posted on August 20, 2012 by Jeff Wade

Slowly but surely, Rockstar seems to be pulling back the curtain on Grand Theft Auto 5, offering pictorial proof that, yes it is a thing and that it is very likely to have numerous vehicles, presumably for you to steal. Mind you what’s there is not incredibly much, but in a blog post entitled “Transportation,” these three screenshots offer a hint to what we can expect from the anticipated sequel.

Report: Onlive Purchased By Third Party, 50% of Staff Gone

Posted on August 17, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

One of the pioneers of instantly streaming games, OnLive has been purchased by an unknown third party if reports from Joystiq are correct.  50% of the service’s staff were apparently let go as of 10AM this morning and said employees were seen leaving the company’s headquarters carrying moving boxes full of various supplies & possessions. So far Onlive has not commented on these reports thus far. The closest thing we’ve got to an official acknowledgement is the fact that Onlive does not comment on rumors and speculation and that games now available on the service will continue to be available

Zombies Are Invading Counter-Strike: Global Offensive!

Posted on August 17, 2012 by Seung Lee

Valve has teamed up with a mod team over at PlagueFest, a community site that works on mods for games like Counter-Strike: Source and ArmA II, to create a zombie mod for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. This content will be available on only the PC version of the game (99% sure here), and you won’t have to wait to test it out, because it’ll release on the same day as Global Offensive. This certainly isn’t the first time that we’ve seen zombies in a first-person shooter. Treyarch’s recent Call of Duty games and ArmA II are the most popular  in the

Posted on August 16, 2012 by Jeff Wade

Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 is getting a PC release to coincide with it’s console brethren in 2013, according to a recent press release first spotted by German games site JPGames. The port is being done in house at developers MercurySteam, and dark lords willing, could go a long way in fixing the technical issues and slowdown present in the first Lords of Shadows. MercurySteam states that this will be the last Castlevania game that they work on, creating a trilogy along with the recently delayed 3DS title Castlevania: Lords of Shadow: Mirror of Fate.
