Every title listed below will have those “gotta collect them all” achievements. Of the 40 titles, 29 of them will be from Microsoft Studios themselves. The other 11 are coming from Rovio, Miniclip, Gameloft, ZeptoLab, Glu Mobile and Halfbrick Studios – promising “innovative mix

First Dead Island: Riptide Details Emerge

Posted on August 31, 2012 by Jesse Lord

Hot off the press from my fabulous Deep Silver contact, we have the first bit of information on the storyline and gameplay elements of Dead Island: Riptide.  Our same four familiar faces play the main roles, with a fifth character, complete with a new skillset different than the others, joining the fray as well.  The storyline is somewhat perfect for the horror-genre that this game comfortably rests within, in that the ending of the last game, where the characters start to finally feel safe, is just the beginning of an all-new nightmare.  Continue after the jump for the full-on text

Escape Goat makes a break for browsers, Steam Greenlight

Posted on August 31, 2012 by Jeff Wade

It might be a little early for starting the weekend, but MagicalTimeBean’s puzzle platformer Escape Goat is temporarily available to play in full on the game’s website. Escape Goat started life as an Xbox Live Indie Game, before making it to the PC and included in June’s Indie Royale bundle. Now ported to HTML 5 and running in a browser, the charmingly retro game stars a goat imprissioned for witchcraft, and he’ll have to do plenty of double jumping and ramming to get through all of the dungeons puzzles.

Team Bondi returns with first glimpse of new game

Posted on August 30, 2012 by Jeff Wade

L.A Noire devolpers Team Bondi have left a helpful clue on what we can expect from their next game, though you hardly need to be a detective to find it. The team updated their website recently with a few new details of their next project, currently targeting release on next generation systems as well as PC.. Set in Shanghai in 1936, the locale should be familiar territory that rivals L.A Noire’s Los Angeles in the seedy vice category, always something to consider when moving to a new area or deciding where to set your game.

In a move that might surprise those who have been following the title closely, Square Enix have announced that David Bateson is going to reprise his role as Agent 47 in the upcoming Hitman: Absolution.  Originally the publisher had declared that he would not be voicing the character, but things have changed, as they tend to do in this industry.  Full press release follows after the jump.

15 Minute Gameplay Video Of Lost Planet 3

Posted on August 27, 2012 by Joshua Rust

Lost Planet 3 is looking even better than its’ predecessor and I personally can’t wait for more information to trickle out. With that being said, CVG got a look at Lost Planet 3 earlier this month and had the chance to grab a 15 minute gameplay video! Lost Planet 3 takes place before the first two games and Capcom has promised a story-driven approach as the first Lost Planet did. Spark Unlimited is in charge of the development for Lost Planet 3, which is a continuing trend of seeking Western developers to make the games instead of developing them internally. Lost Planet 3 is

Mists of Pandaria’s Pet Battle System Details

Posted on August 25, 2012 by Les Major

Though it is very much a Pokémon system for WOW, I’m very eager to get into the Mists of Pandaria Pet Battle System. For those unfamiliar with the concept, the pet battle system takes your collectable yet non-combat companions and turns them into characters you can level up, teach skills to, and even hunt in the wild to add to your collection! So instead of just buying or finding pets as item drops, you can now encounter and capture pets in the wild. I’m excited for this. The main story to Pandaria sounds wonderful to me and I’m eager to

Mists of Pandaria Cinematic Intro Released

Posted on August 24, 2012 by Les Major

The intro video for the latest upcoming expansion to World of Warcraft has been released! Keeping with Blizzards explanation from Mists reveal, this cinematic features a Pandaren being the peaceful, but able, innocent between the two factions. I’ve personally been holding back on researching information to play out the story myself, but I’m eager to see how the Alliance and Horde influences affect Pandaria. Set to be released on the 25th of September, that means one month today you’ll be able to play WOW’s first dual faction race. It also adds the new Monk class to the game. Mists is the fourth

Dead Island: Riptide, Sacred 3 To Debut At PAX Prime

Posted on August 24, 2012 by Jesse Lord

Just got some great news from a super-fantastic PR friend of mine from Deep Silver.  Word on the street is, both Dead Island: Riptide and Sacred 3 will be shown at PAX Prime!  That’s right, if you’ve got the ability to head to PAX Prime this year, you’ll have the ability to see the public debut of two of Deep Silver’s knock-out franchises.  Along with that tid-bit of information, my PR contact was nice enough to send out a blurb about each game, which I’ve included below, after the jump.
