“Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt” Is The Next Borderlands 2 DLC?

Posted on December 13, 2012 by Joshua Rust

Tech savy users (and Playstation 3 users) have uncovered what appears to be the next DLC for Borderlands 2 titled: Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt. Users over at the Gearbox Forums have spotted details that were released in today’s patch. Not to mention that the trophies have shown up as well on the Playstation 3 trophies. The three achievements/trophies are: Completed the mission “The Fall of Nakayama”, Completed all Hammerlock’s Hunt side missions, & Discovered all named locations in Hammerlock’s Hunt. So I think it’s safe to assume that there will be even more raid bosses as the first two DLC’s

(Image courtesy of Uproxx) Ok, we’re officially to the end of our Skyrim giveaway contest.  MAJOR thanks go out to Bethesda for not only providing the copies of Skyrim and Dragonborn DLC, but for also giving us a shout-out on the official Elder Scrolls Twitter account.  While our site quickly tapped out under the huge and sudden influx of visitors hoping to score the game, we got the word out via our Facebook page as well as our Twitter page. We had an influx of tweets all asking for either the full version on PC, or the DLC for the

Metro: The Last Light “Genesis” Trailer Comes Into The Light

Posted on December 12, 2012 by Joshua Rust

If you haven’t played Metro 2033 from 4A Games you are missing out on one of the greatest hidden gems on the Xbox 360 console. While it averaged a favorable reception from critics (earning a 77/100 on Metacritic across 83 reviewers), I still believe it’s one of the best un-established games that has come out in this generation of consoles. For those that haven’t played it, THQ is offering up a free steam code by “liking” their Facebook page – but the quantities are limited so hurry! So apparently it did so well that it justified a sequel and rightly so!

Dota 2, Valve’s upcoming free to play MOBA game has been in closed beta for a while. According to Kotaku we could be enjoying the game on the next generation of tablets if a quote from Gabe Newell is spot on. Valve tried to get the game running on some current tablets but they weren’t up to the job. Bioshock Infinite Facing Further Delays, Out March 26th

Posted on December 8, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

The wait for irrational games’ follow up to 2007’s Bioshock, Bioshock Infinite, gets even harder with the announcement that the game is being delayed by a few weeks to make room for minor improvements and bug fixes. According to Ken Levine, creator of the Bioshock Franchise, the game will drop on March 26th. The team needed time to fix some minor annoyances and that recent addition, Rod Ferguson, convinced him that the entire team would benefit from additional development time. He admits that the press might beat up on 2K and Irrational for this decision but they believe it was

There is a countdown clock that sets the reveal date for next Tuesday, December 11, at 10 p.m. EST. Currently there has only been one Star Ocean game that has hit this generation of consoles that received mixed responses from the gaming community – weighing in at 72/100 over on Metacritic. Personally, I think it was a pretty solid game. Nothing that

Half Life 2 Voted “Game of the Decade”

Posted on December 7, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Valve’s Half Life 2 has been impressing us for the past eight years. It is hard to believe that such a ground breaking, and arguably still impressive, game was released almost a decade ago. Well, Spike TV and Entertainment Weekly voted Valve’s Magnum Opus the best game of the decade. Do you agree with their choice for game of the decade? I bought Half Life 2 on launch day and It’s amazing to think I am still using the same Steam account to this day. Gordon Freeman’s last non episodic adventure helped bring gravity based weaponry and rag doll physics

AC3 Returns With “The Tyranny of King Washington”

Posted on December 7, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

We all knew that Ubisoft wasn’t done with the Assassin’s Creed III era of their popular Templars vs assassins franchise. The next DLC adventure  in the series was unveiled at the Spike Video Game Awards 10. Titled AC III: The Tyranny of King Washington, this add-on focuses on an alternate time line where George Washington wasn’t a revered hero but an iron fisted monarch. No platforms were announced in the reveal trailer but presumably it will be released on Xbox 360, PS3, PC just like this fall’s ACIII. What do you think of Ubisoft taking the series into an alternate time-line using

Eurocom Enters Administration, Lays Off Staff

Posted on December 7, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

This past fall’s 007 Legends wasn’t particularly well received by critics, including us. It looks like the developers behind the game, Eurocom have closed their doors for good as they enter “administration”, as reported by Eurogamer. A company in the U.K entering administration is similar to one filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy here in North America, they have effectively laid-off their entire 150 person workforce. Prior to working on 007 Legends Eurocom released the well received James Bond title, GoldenEye Reloaded, on the Nintendo Wii and then Ps3/Xbox 360 one year later. Other notable projects over their 25 year history
