Aliens: Colonial Marines Gets Patched…

Posted on March 7, 2013 by Joshua Rust

…but it still won’t change that Metacritic score, unfortunately for Gearbox and Aliens fans. Probably one of the worst received games in recent times, Aliens: Colonial Marines certainly has had a dismal start. But at least Gearbox is still supporting the game through updates/patches. Read on for the list of patches that rolled out today on Xbox 360 (PS3/PC will be released at a later, unspecified date)

The Walking Dead
For those of you in Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil – you should be happy to know that The Walking Dead: Season 1 from Telltale Games is now available to you all despite all the rating setbacks. So that’s really good news as this is one of the best point-and-click games that I’ve ever played. Even more so, it’s one of the best told storylines in recent years as well. Confirmed by GameInformer, it appears that Telltale Games has been hard at work on the next set of episodes (Season 2) for Fall of 2013 – yes this Fall!!! It

Skyrim Gets Even More “Legendary”

Posted on March 4, 2013 by Joshua Rust

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is one of the best looking games you will find on a console. Probably one of the most massive worlds you will ever roam as well. It’s great to see a game, especially of this size, still getting the support it needs and deserves from Bethesda for the players who are still roaming the land in pursuit of legend, fame, and an arrow in the knee. So, if you’ve mastered playing Skyrim on the hard difficulty get ready because when the new update launches (sometime soon) it will add a “Legendary” difficulty. In addition to

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows Reveal Trailer

Posted on March 4, 2013 by Joshua Rust

If you’re like me and grew up during the late 80’s – early 90’s as a kid, you’ll probably remember the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. By far one of my favorite cartoons ever. If you haven’t had a chance to check out the “reboot” of the franchise on Nickelodeon you should, I highly recommend it. So with that being said, Red Fly Studios and Activision have teamed up to bring you a whole new TMNT game which will be available across PSN, XBLA, & Steam. Titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows, you will be able to play

Assassin’s Creed IV Trailer Revealed

Posted on March 4, 2013 by Jason Nason

Ubisoft revealed the first official trailer for their upcoming game Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag early this morning. The trailer is very much a teaser that features a pirate captain describing the main character of the game. The year is 1715. Pirates rule the Caribbean and have established their own lawless Republic. Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag introduces Edward Kenway, a brash rebel Pirate Assassin. His fight for glory has earned him the respect of legends like Blackbeard, but also drawn him into the ancient war between Assassins and Templars, a war that may destroy everything the pirates have built.

Ubisoft To Unveil Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag March 4th

Posted on February 28, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

The next entry the annual Assassin’s Creed franchise will be a full fledged numbered sequel. Unveiled on Ubisoft’s facebook page the game is titled Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and the reveal image conveys very clearly that the game will revolve around piracy in some fashion. It is unknown if the game will star AC III’s Connor or if the game features a new protagonist, but the protagonist’s clothing is awfully similar to Connor’s garb. Also given the end of the AC III, it will be interesting how sections that take place in the future work out (without spoiling anything

Darksiders Is Finally Set To Be Auctioned Off…Along With Other THQ Properties

Posted on February 27, 2013 by Joshua Rust

It’s never easy hearing about a publisher, developer, or anyone in the gaming industry (let alone anyone at all) lose their jobs. Such was the case with THQ as the publishing titan came crashing down. Speculation could be pointed at their failed attempt to make uDraw the next big thing, but just one thing isn’t the cause of their unfortunate demise. Just a short while ago most of the bigger name franchises were auctioned off, such as Saint’s Row, Homefront, & Metro. To my biggest surprise, Darksiders was nowhere on the list of being picked up by anyone. Granted the second game

Insomniac Games Files Trademark ‘Sunset Overdrive’

Posted on February 27, 2013 by Joshua Rust

Nothing and I mean nothing gets by you all on the internet. Insomniac Games has silently registered a trademark for Sunset Overdrive. Even though the studio has went on to publicly announce that it will not be continuing the Resistance franchise, they do have the upcoming (recently delayed) action packed co-op shooter Fuse which is setting at a tentative Spring 2013 release date. While nothing specific has been announced on Sunset Overdrive, the details from the filed trademark list “computer game software” and “entertainment services, namely, providing an on-line computer game”. So while Insomniac Games is “done” with Resistance, they
