Bioshock: Infinite Launch Trailer

Posted on March 25, 2013 by Joshua Rust

Who’s ready for Bioshock: Infinite? Well, the wait isn’t too much longer (for me…about 6 more hours since I’m headed to the midnight launch!) as it hits retail stores tomorrow! If you are on the fence about this game I highly recommend you jump off that fence and get to your local game store tomorrow as Bioshock: Infinite has been well received by the critics thus far. The PC version, via Metacritic, has over 38 critics reviews thus far and is averaging in at 95/100. That’s pretty impressive so far. The launch trailer for Bioshock: Infinite has been released today

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Trailer

Posted on March 25, 2013 by Joshua Rust

I felt that the naval battles of Assassin’s Creed III is one of the best new features that has come to the franchise, which you can read my review here. Granted I don’t want Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag to be all about those naval battles, I do want to see a good “pirate” game so to speak. In Black Flag you will take on the role of Edward Kenway, who is the father of Haytham Kenway who you will remember from Assassin’s Creed III. Edward is a British pirate and member of the Assassin Order. You will take him all

Borderlands 2 Gets Level Cap Increase & Sixth Playable Character

Posted on March 25, 2013 by Joshua Rust

We all knew it was a matter of time before Gearbox Software announced a level cap increase. But we also pondered what the pricing would be. Would it be free for the season pass holders? Are they going to do the insane and make us pay more for it? And when the heck is it going to release? Also, at the beginning of the month they teased a new, 6th playable character as well. When is that going to release? What kind of character is it going to be? Gearbox has finally answered most of these questions – to an

Is Call of Duty: Ghosts Activision’s Next Big Game?

Posted on March 25, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Over the weekend the Spring Equinox happened, and just like the seasons change, the next Call of Duty‘s reveal should only be a few short weeks away. Supposed details surrounding the game’s plot, weapons and mechanics are supposedly starting to leak out. Considering the source, a random YouTube user, take all of what is coming with a grain of salt, but keep in mind that Modern Warfare 3 had its own huge leak two years ago that proved accurate.

Celebrate the Luck of the Zafords in Borderlands 2 This Weekend!

Posted on March 14, 2013 by Joshua Rust

Gearbox Software is at it again, offering up some new skins and a SMG for your characters in Borderlands 2. This time it is in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Here is how Gearbox Software describes the holiday in Borderlands terms: Each year, around this time, the Zaford clan takes a break from their war with the Hodunk bandit family to celebrate their good fortune and honor those that have passed on, such as that time Scooter buried their son alive in a shallow grave. During this time, those who play Borderlands 2 while connected to the internet will see

The VoxelFarm Engine Is Looking Beautiful

Posted on March 13, 2013 by Les Major

Miguel Cepero is creating a voxel based engine, however it definitely looks more like an open world adventure like an Elder Scrolls title rather than your usual voxel adventure. It’s quite interesting looking into the tech on all this and I highly recommend his blog for any 3D modeling nerds out there. Read on for more about the engine and a preview video.

Payday 2 Announced By 505 Games

Posted on March 13, 2013 by Joshua Rust

505 Games and Overkill Software have announced that a sequel to Payday: The Heist is on the way in form of Payday 2.  CVG got a chance to preview the game and had this to say about it: “Payday 2 provides a unique spin on co-op first-person shooting, and we love the idea of becoming a career criminal with friends, working our way up from lowly convenience store stick-ups to mass-scale bank robberies. “The first game was excellent, but with the guiding hand of Chronicles of Riddick developers Starbreeze, which recently purchased Overkill, this sequel could be even better.”

Gearbox Teases New Playable Vault Hunter

Posted on March 8, 2013 by Joshua Rust

Again, the word “tease” is the main emphasis here – straight from the Gearbox panel at SXSW. It has been confirmed that this new character will NOT be part of the Season Pass for Borderlands 2. From the brief images in the trailer, it appears this new character is a melee specialist. A release date has not been specified, but Matt Armstrong stated, “DLC is announced on a very tight schedule, and I don’t think you’ll have to wait long until you see that character.”
